Since everybody's getting advice about the places they're going this weekend, I figured I should do the same for my Friday afternoon and evening.

I'm going to Stockdale. Where should I get some good grub?

Around 50 miles toward Victoria.

What the hell are you going to do in Stockdale? Besides high school football, theres pretty much nothing to town in that town. Food wise, I'm clue less. Stockdale is like southeast of SA and is a little north east of Floresville.

I hope you get reimbursed for mileage! Since it's so close to Victoria maybe the Mookie crew can help.

I was going to say, nothing to do in that town, except for HS football. Anyways, I hope you are from Randolph as they will cream Stockdale. I don't know why some polls have Stockdale ahead of Randolph, even they they both are like 7-0 and 4-0 in district. Randolph is clearly the better team. Don't stop at Mavericks. They have sucked ever since they changed owners. I say go into Floresville and stop at Lazy J's BBQ. Got some good stuff. Still don't know about the food in Stockdale.

Take 87 to Stockdale and stop at Witte's BBQ outside of La Vernia.

What 1369 said. Or Carlos Kelly's. You'll be driving right by that too.

I practically grew up around Stockdale, but we didn't eat out much because my Grandma was the best cook on the planet.

She passed away last night just after 10 pm.

Her funeral is Friday morning at the First Baptist Church in Stockdale.

I thought I was going to be ready for this. I'm not.

Thanks man!

She was ready to go home. At least her suffering is over.

If you see a funeral procession Friday, I'll be in one of the front cars. It's not a long drive to the cemetary though, so we shouldn't hold you up long.
