The [ABA Reno] Sharpshooters, who open the season at the Sacramento Heatwave on Nov. 3, are expected to have at least one player who has played in the NBA -- 42-year-old David Wood, the former Nevada player who played for eight NBA teams in seven seasons. It will be a Roger Clemens type of arrangement, with Wood playing part-time and mostly in home games....
The Sharpshooters will spread their home games among Damonte Ranch, Hug and Wooster Highs.
[Team president president Greg Newman] said he'd like to play additional games in Fernley, Carson City and possibly the Boys & Girls Club of Truckee Meadows.
