For me, its between:

Nas - Illmatic

Jay-Z - Reasonable Doubt

Lyrically they are both as good as hip hop can get, and about even, IMO. I think musically, Reasonable Doubt is a little better, but it has one song that I don't really feel, the Ain't No N***a (no one can fuck you better) song. Every track on Illmatic is hot, but the CD is a little short. Nevertheless, they are both total classics that I can listen to and never really get tired of.

What are yours?

Illmatic for me. I like ATCQ's Anthology, but that shouldn't count because it's a best of

you can't beat Paid in Full - 20 years later, the production and lyrics are still on point. Strictly Business is right up there for me too.

This is like asking which was your favorite prostate exam, IMO.
