First of many such games as defenses collapse on Kobe - he is too great to keep down always but the Lakers are imploding. On their fan's web sites they are already screaming for Rudy's head and they have a greatly overvalued opinion of Odom (2nd coming of Pippin etc.)

He's clearly having his worst shooting % in his career...I agree...but his worst season. Are you drunk...4 Triple doubles, average 27, 7.5 7.4 is pretty phenominal. The team is struggling...as we all thought they would. I don't see any email threads when Kobe drops 14 dimes pulls 10 boards and scores over 30...just a bunch of haters. That's cool. No problem, at least I'm not a Portland fan...but we've been through that already.

Well...were do I begin....
Rudy T's coaching....Well first of all playing Kobe as the PG, SG, and PF...running only 4 plays every game. No utilizing the entire bench....To be honest, their personal is over achieving some games and when Kobe plays bad...they will lose. I just Rudy is using the Lakers the same way he used the Rockets with Francis and Cuttino, a lot of Iso plays and 3 point shots. When the shots go down we win, but we don't have an good cuts and plays towards the basket unless it's an iso play....

Good question...I think he's in a transition phase with his playing and understanding his role with this team. I do believe he's making this team a playoff contender given the talent he's working with. However, being the first, second and third option is pretty taxing on anyone. Would he listen, well it all depends. I think he's playing quite well despite poor shooting, a lot of his shots are bail outs anyways. Maybe Rudy's just understanding his team, and I guess it takes time...just frustrating for some fans.

Yeah, I tend to agree with you. Often when I watch, the Lakers look like a playground team. Lots of talent, but not a lot of structured execution. But, enough about the Lakers. Thanks

Rudy T is over rated. He pretty much gravy-trained his way to two rings on the back of a HOF center. As stated, his offense is simplistic, and to top it all off, his defense is non-existant.

There's a difference between not agreeing with something and just being overrated.

Anyone on this board could go out and coach a team with Kobe and Odom to a .500 record in the league.

I was at the game last night and saw the horror, every second of it. It was tight until the 4th quarter when I really have to disagree with the line-up Rudy T had on the floor. Kobe was having a horrible offensive night but he was still playing hard. The whole team, too many outside shot and no one getting to the basket, too much just standing around, but it was also because of who was playing. They had Atkins, Kobe, Butler, Odom and Jones - a VERY small line up and no one really to take it to the rim. They needed to get Cookie or Mihm in there to open up the floor inside and out. Oh well, game is over now.
