Still, you would have thought he was in Colorado or something the way he was getting booed every time he touched the ball the first few minutes of the game.

Gotta remember these are L.A. fans. If he goes for 30+, they'll be cheering for him like nothing ever happened.

Did Craig Sager have a mild stroke?

He's sounding a little Harry Careyish.

LOL@Francis getting 0:00 minutes in the first half. I guess Adelman agrees that he's one of the worst points in the game.

I live in Houston. I'll root for both Houston and Dallas. Should be more watchable not that Rick Adleman is the coach.

HOLY SHIT. KOBE IS NOT EVEN TRYING TO PASS IT TO HIS GUYS. This is garbage basketball. He's not even looking at his teammates when playing.

And yet everyone talks about him 24/7 and all fucking night. How pathetic.

I love the continuation no call....BS....oh well....smart play by Battier.....what a great finish to the game, D fish and Walton played well at the end. Kobe finally passed a few times and opened the floor up....still his shot was way off and he kept driving into pressure way too much. Phil had some week subsititutions, however I still think you try to trade Kobe sooner than later.....regardless of the last minute.

Class Act

Medvedenko
10-31-2007, 12:46 AM
It was a classic I'm going to do it on my own game from Kobe and it almost works. He's been doing this his entire career, nothing's different. Just with this team and years past he had more veterans and capable players to defer to. When he goes it alone on this team, they rarely win and it's quite upsetting to see. Trade him now and start rebuilding. It clear he needs a change of scenery. I remember when Barkley was traded to the suns and he had a monster season....sometimes a change is good for a player. The Lakers will persevere, nice young talent in Farmar, Critt, Bynum and Turiaf....I'm not worried.

27 FTs for Kobester as Houston leads by 10 most of the 2nd half.
How many deserved?

Kobe embarrassed himself last night.

He was unbelievable selfish and pouty.

He shot a litany of prayers that had no chance instead of passing to an open teammate.

There was one series where he had two consecutive 2 on 1 fast break opportunities, and rather than making the extra pass, he barrelled into a defender and was awarded free throws.

He missed two of four.

God, I hope that headcase is never on the Suns.

Magic was hot, wasn't he? I was surprised to hear him talk like that. If kobe's going to act like a Dick, ship his ass out of here!

Medvedenko
10-31-2007, 04:24 PM
Like I said before, blackhole Kobe won't win you any games, unless it is in spurts...not 75% of the game....and the FT's were mostly awarded correctly, probably could have got a lot more considering he just flew himself into the paint with little regard to pass or for his body. Obviously proving a point is one thing, but balance is another. Yes, his hand hurt, then why chuck up 30+ shots when your shot is off. This could have been a 60+ game if kobe's shot was on and a victory. But when it's off, share the fucking ball.......I blame Phil. Still, I don't believe we could of beat the Rox anyways.

I agree. It was nice to hear Magic call him out. It's about time if you ask me. I wonder what Kobe thought about that, being that Magic said pretty much exactly what this so called Laker "insider" said to start this whole mess.

Deng, Thomas, Sefolosha, and a resigned PJ Brown would make me a happy camper.

Actually taking into account his FG Att. (32), with his FT's (27), however many times he lost the ball and Lakers kept possession, and turnovers (5), I'd say he shot or dominated the possession somewhere around 55 times. It's nice putting up 45, but not at the expense of a win and foregoing passing the ball to your teammates. If he's trying to prove a point, you better end up with a W.
