2 less Rings. He was a decent contributor during the Nets Championship but not a major factor.

Manu's a cold-blooded killer. He means that much to this team.

Define decent. Maybe offensively he wasn't as large of a factor compared to other series, but defensively, he was all over the place.

Be careful posting stuff like this. In the past week, I've seen people say sign Washington, and Washington is signed. I've seen cut Beno, and Beno is gone.

Buford is listening... Be careful.

People said to cut or trade Beno since 2005 and it just now got done, and I think Washington did his part to earn a roster spot. I doubt a joke thread mocking all the fairweather fans who jump off the wagon when Manu doesn't score 30 is going to get Manu traded. I like Manu, don't get confused.

I wouldn't joke about this shit either.

Knock on wood, cross yourself, throw some fairy dust in the breeze and apologise to the Church of Manu, because he IS the second coming... of what, I'm not sure, but i am sure it's brilliant! ;)

I hope Manu never leaves, and certainly not before this contract is up (3 more seasons).

Manu needs to finish his career with the Spurs before being made honorary mayor of San Antonio and majority owner of the Spurs and being given 99 virgins to do with as he pleases.

LOL ! He's always all over the place. Decent = Not Over The Top and Silly, Wicked Killa. He gave us a spark that year but I still think we could have won without him. No way do we win the last 2 Rings without him. He especially loves breaking hearts on the road in the playoffs.

By far my favorite player on this team.

I was thinking of what players manu reminds me of and we lost for words. What type of players is he? How do we describe him to someone who has never seen him?
Fearless, unltraagressive, willing to gamble, clutch player? He really isnt a super athletic player, but he gets it done. Best I could come up with was Mario elie, but thats far from Manu still. if it was Football, Id say Bill Bates for always being in the mix or Randy white for giving it 100% every second he played.
Hell...all this and Manu really has noone to compare him to.
What do you all think?

Just wanted to add...did anybody hear that moron Avery Johnson last night already giving the 6th man award to Jason Terry because he comes off the bench! Not like the Manu gives a shit about awards but Manu is 100 times better than Terry and if Johnson is too stupid to know that...he is dumber than I thought!
wow... i am really dissapointed to hear this... coming of AJ when Manu decided not to use nbr 6 when he arrived.... ESPN chose Barbosa on top of him too... :depressed

Manu is Manu, there is no comparison or adequate description beyond "Manu"... ;)

I'm a massive DRob fan, and I love TD with all my heart, but Manu might be the most exciting player I've ever watched. David was the most graceful, Timmy the most fundamentally skillful (with Hakeem), MJ the most incredible, but Manu beats the field on pure excitement! :spin

I will always remember games 1, 2 and 7 in 2005 when he just took over the game in the blink of an eye... he's an MJ-level super-competitor without being an arsehole.

Mega-props to MANU! :D :D :D

Yes. Trade it for Dirk 'loser' NoRINGtsky!

Stop being such a homer. Anyone who wouldn't trade Manu for Dirk is either a) smoking crack or b) knows nothing about basketball. Don't bring up ring totals because Manu is hardly the team's leader. Everything begins and ends with Duncan; whereas Dirk, he is everything to his team. He is the Duncan of the Mavs.

RuffnReadyOzStyle

Manu is a leader, especially on the court.

As for trading him for Nowitski... Dirk, TD and TP sounds good, but I would probably keep Manu. Winning rings is about team balance, and these four guys (TD/Tony/Manu/Bruce) have balanced each other beautifully to 3 rings. Personally, I wouldn't change a thing.

(PS Don't take that as a diss to the great role players who have played a vital part in those rings. ;) )

In fantasy, sure, make the trade, but DO NOT BREAK UP THIS CORE UNTIL THE RUN IS DONE.

Now that's the real deal. :fro
