Boston has more talent and a lot more depth than people like to admit. Detroit obviously has an edge in team chemistry and they actually match-up fairly well against Boston. Both coaching staffs suck.

If it's between these two teams for the Eastern Conference crown (and I'm not saying it is, just if it is), I actually like Boston's chances more. They have better talent. And, I would think they would play with more hunger.

Right now simply because of familiarity and chemistry, the Pistons are probably the better team, right now. But, at the end of the season and in the playoffs, if both teams are relatively healthy, I think Boston will probably end up being the better team.

I didnt realize the Celtics had played a game yet to have this discussion. I at least got to see what Detroint loked like the other night. The Celts looked really good in the pre-season, but I need to see them play some games.

Tough choice.... I'd go with Pistons over Celtics. But we'll see.

Pistons fell to a 1 man Cavs team, and were extremly lucky that series with the Bulls didnt go 7 games (Bulls giving game 3 away prevented that). If Lebron can beat the Pistons, The Celts trio sure as hell can too.

After the Pistons monumental collapse against Lebron James, I don't think they're anywhere close to the same team that won the championship. Flip Saunders brings a losers mentality to the team that will have them looking clueless again in the playoffs.

Boston Celtics look in line for a nice 55 win season and Eastern Conference Finals Championship.

Pistons - Good, above average team, but the polish is gone.
Heat - Need Shaq to be intergral part of the team, but Shaq is too old now.
Cavs - Mike Brown isn't an NBA coach. This team is so bad, Lebron ages 1.5 seasons for every 1 season he plays.
Bulls - Nice plethora of talent, but a hot and cold team. Not consistent enough to get the job done.
Nets - Vince Carter holds this team down. Similar to A-Rod in that he chokes when it counts.

Celtics - Need to mesh in one season, but the Big 3 are happy to have each other and all want to win. The players already have good chemistry together. The Boston mystique is already back and home court advantage could prove decisive for C's. Garnett won't need to shoulder most of the offense because of Pierce and Allen and can now focus on his stronger attributes of rebounding, defense, and drawing double teams.

Boston = 2nd best team in the league. Wait for it.
