Suns coach Mike D’Antoni admitted watching some of the Spurs championship ring ceremony Tuesday night before San Antonio’s season opener. What went through his mind?

“You mean after I got back from the bathroom after throwing up?” :ihit D’Antoni said with a smile before giving the Spurs their just due as well-deserving of their throne.

“You’d like for it to be us, but it wasn’t. It’s not like it was more fuel for the fire. “Trust me, we’ve got enough fuel.” :rolleyes

So you're mad he took a shot at the Spurs? Maybe he should've said, "I couldn't wait to get back from the bathroom because I didn't want to miss a minute of the ceremony!"

Was it Stan Kelly's voice or Matt Bonner getting a ring that made him throw up?

I call him the "Open Mouth Moustache" for all his constant bitching and moaning.

I can't until the Spurs give it to him again this year.

D'Antoni jokes, he doesn't whine. He's constantly joking to the media and some of you take him seriously.

This guy doesn't understand one damn thing about leadership. Yeah, it's real fun to get your licks in on a soundbite, but I don't see how this can do anything but hurt the team and foster a sense of entitlement. Sound extreme? It would be if this were not the 1,0001st example of this behavior from D'Antoni.

And I doubt any of the Spurs would be interested either.

Maybe there is something legitimately nauseating about the Spurs winning championships. Stern's always looked like he's about barf all over himself when he hands over the trophies and rings.

How would Suns fans react if Horry started "joking" like that? He's trying to be humorous but it's obvious he's crying to the media.

Lakers 119, Suns 98.

If the Suns have enough fuel, perhaps they needs to think about a better driver.

D'Antoni threw up because he gets more nervous when playing the San Antonio Spurs than any other team in the NBA.

The only interesting moment down the stretch came when Suns coach Mike D'Antoni became livid when Lakers coach Phil Jackson called a timeout, right after the Suns called one, with 4:55 to play and Phoenix trailing 111-78.

"Yeah, I was pretty upset," D'Antoni said. "I thought he disrespected our players. But he likes to play the mind games and that's fine. He might want to try to do it in playoff time when we bust them every year."

Jackson said he was just getting a mandatory timeout out of the way.

"He wasn't thinking straight. That's all," Jackson said of D'Antoni. "He'd understand that if he thought about it for a second. I think he thought I was trying to showboat or grandstand. But when you have a mandatory timeout coming in a minute and a half or something like that, just get it out of the way."
