Holy f***ing sh*t.

Kansas goes three and out to start the game, Nebraska partially blocks the punt to end up around the 50, and moves down the field to score 7. First time all season Kansas gave points up on the opening possession, I think.

Lucky goes on a long run. 14-7 NU.

UNBELIEVABLY pathetic first quarter by the Cats. Broken coverages, fumbles, bad snaps, awful tackling.

They'd be trailing to Manhattan High with the way they've started this game.

14-0 Cyclones is quite surprising.

i find it amusing that there are still husker fans who flash the blackshirts sign for this defense. (yes, i find it equally amusing that there are wildcat fans who flash the lynch mob sign for a defense that has been run on at will for the past month as well)

There is not a single person in the history of sports that is picking the Horns to win today.

This is a sad day to be a horns fan.

i almost picked texas. they should move the ball on okie lite (everybody does) and they've got a better chance to slow down their running game than some other teams.

but at the end of the day, just too much big play potential for the pokes IMHO.

This is a sad day to be a longhorns fan. This game will go down as one which the longhorns did not even bother to show up.

I'm so sick of this year's team, they make me sick. Loser ass fuckers all the way around. The good guys we have have been injured off and on, and aren't good leaders, while the good leaders we have flat out suck, and are taking away minutes from younger contributors.......Jevean Snead this is all your fault you stupid spoiled asshole

I've never seen a TX QB throw so many interceptions that were the result of the ball bouncing straight up off of a helmet, hands, DL, or OL person's body, then land perfectly into the hands of a defensive player.
Never.

I have never seen Kansas put up 76 points in a football game.. Let alone against Big Red. Wonder if the Neb coach will make it through the season.

It is important for the dignity of the Nebraska football program that they fire Callahan and his defensive coordinator immediately, and let assistants finish out the season in the interim.

What a fall for Callahan. Five years ago he was coaching in the Super Bowl, and now if he wants to continue with his career, he will have to take a high school job.

how does that improve their dignity? likely, that would make it harder to lure another coach (at least one from outside the osborne/UNL family).

So, do we again have a situation here in which people are not giving Kansas props, and instead saying that Nebraska (their opponent) just flat out sucks?

Giving up 76 points is not just a bad day at the office. Heck, the only reason Kansas didn't score 90 is that they let up.

The consequences for this degree of failure must be swift and severe.

Kansas is terrific, and I am thrilled that they are having such success, especially given the tough history of their football program in recent years.

But they scored 76 points a week after putting up 19 against a lousy A&M team. UNL has given up 40+ points repeatedly this season, and this has to be the last straw.

I think Kansas is better than the majority of people give them credit for, but I'm still hoping with all my might that they beat OU for the big12 game.

this group is going to give up some points even if osborne himself comes down to coach them.

That's because they are Callahan's recruits.

agreed. but a new coach couldn't recruit a new team midseason.

goes to show that it's possible - just possible - that tom lemming and rivals.com don't know their ass from a hole in the ground.

That son of a bitch should've been fired 2 seasons ago.
