Oh, and like Bobby Knight said, we all learned to write at the age of 7. Most of us went on to something else.

Yeah!! Stick it to The Man!!

Go Writers Go!

(but story-a Eva Longoria is absolutely horrid for a bunch of writers seeking to obtain better contractual terms).

I think she is just upset because now she has to do her own make-up.
If she really cared about her make-up artist couldnt she hire her privately??

Oh, Gee!!

I'd be a better sitcom writer than those fools. Don't believe me? Take a gander at my posts: pure comic gold.

I don't understand the whole reasoning behind the writer's strike.

If they were paid to write the scripts, where do they get off in asking for more money based on what the studio did with the show after the writer was already paid for his effort?

Now, if a writer gets a residual/royalty like actors do for reruns, then that's a different breed of cat.

But then again, I don't have any love lost for unions of any stripe, so let 'em walk.

When they get hungry, they'll come home.

Long story short, it is residuals. But one of the other key points is internet/cell phone viewing. Every time somebody watches the shows online, the studios are calling them promos... but it's the full show with ads specifically sold for that viewing.

Also, writers are being asked to create "Webisodes" and not getting paid for those either.

Just saw this...
WTF, she tried to shut up the writers just so she could talk to "Entertainment Tonight" :rolleyes
Was that Kevin Frazier interviewing her? Got to love Julia Louis Dreyfus, she's been out there on a daily bases with no makeup and a baseball cap on, at least she's not trying to "doll" herself up for the cameras and reporters. :tu :tu
