Lousiana Candidate Tells Black Civil Rights Leader "Talk To You Later, Buckwheat (http://www.wdsu.com/news/14573933/detail.html)"

While the story does ultimately mention her husband's party affiliation, it doesn't say anything about hers.

A state representative in a runoff election infuriated civil rights leaders after she ended a conversation with the mother of the NAACP's local president by saying, "Talk to you later, Buckwheat."

[Paragraph 2]

[Paragraph 3]

[Paragraph 4]

[Paragraph 5]

"I made an insensitive comment when speaking with Hazel Boykin, and I have apologized to the Boykin family and publicly for my choice of words," Dartez said in a statement. "I have a strong record of fighting for issues important to the African American community; in fact, I have a 93 percent voting record with the Black Caucus."

But the "Buckwheat" remark is the latest bit of trouble for Dartez and her husband, Lenny, who is a member of the Democratic Party's State Central Committee.
So that's seven paragraphs in before the article hints at her party affiliation, but does not in fact state it.

Imagine if it were a Republican. I'll wait to see if Jesse and Al haul ass down to Louisiana.

very long paragraphs
Well, if a Republican makes the same kind of stupid remark, the party affiliation is usually in the title...or, the first sentence.

The Oregonian reported today (http://www.oregonlive.com/news/oregonian/index.ssf?/base/news/1195008913166260.xml&coll=7): “The Oregon State Bar has asked Gov. Ted Kulongoski to respond to allegations that he lied about his knowledge of former Gov. Neil Goldschmidt’s sexual abuse of an underage girl.”

Unlike Larry Craig, Bob Packwood, Mark Foley and a host of other Republican officeholders, neither Kulongoski or Goldschmidt have a party. But they do. It is the same party. Hint: Goldschmidt was transportation secretary under Jimmy Carter. That put him 14th in line for the presidency.

Seriously dude, could you swing from this guys balls any more?Change the subject 101 - We get it, Yoni sometimes posts stuff from other people without revealing a source.

None of the incidents reported, however, are fictitious, and do show a level of duplicity in the M$M. Didn't we see a couple of weeks ago that a state representative from N. Carolina or somewhere made a NATIONAL SPLASH for being in the closet - heard about him; he was Republican.

This stuff Dems do ONLY get reported in conservative blogs.

You don't see ANYTHING in that?

"Larry Craig - the Repulcan", "Republican Larry Craig" "Larry the republican Craig" - heard it CONSTANTLY when that was going on.

Good question about Al and Jesse; we know from recent events they know how to get to Louisianna; I'm betting they don't make the trip this time.

Maybe if the relationship with the 14 year old had happened a little more recently than 30 years ago and Goldschmidt was still in an office with more national prominence than the state board of higher education, this would have legs.

I didn't see this on Fox either. Shouldn't they be covering this 24/7?

Besides, you just illustrated how blogs like this are simply trying to change the subject themselves. Bravo.

In this case, he did link the Oregonian article, a major source for the blog. This is one of several sources that verify the blog. You should search Willamette Week articles. It's a goldmine for this case that The Oregonian treads lightly on.

And it goes way beyond what the Mainstream Media reports. Several others of the Oregon Democrats are implicated as knowing, and are now serving in well respected places. Oregon has become a state run by organized crime. Ted Kulongoski, the current governoris among those who knew about this crime, and protected their friend. I don't recall the others, but one of them was either Bernie Guisto, the current Multnomah county police chief, or Tom Potter. Portland's current Mayor. Maybe it was both?

This stuff Dems do ONLY get reported in conservative blogs.

For the most part. The Oregonian only reports it because the story has become known, and they can no longer ignore it. Willamette Week, reported the story about Goldschmidt and his pedophilia (http://wweek.com/story.php?story=5091) more than three years ago. They won a Pulitzer for it. Part of the investigative reporting they did showed that The Oregonian knew about the story when it unfolded. Now it's past the statute of limitations, but know that Goldschmidt raped an underage girl.

This is a story long in investigation, and The Oregonian, a liberal rag, finally recognizes it. Like I said before, stories aganst democrtas are only reported when they can no longer be ignored.

It has legs in Oregon because his friends who knew him are now in power. It has been shown that they knew and helped cover his pedophilia up.
