Yet Another Dishy Female STAR TREK Cast Member Is In The House!!

J.J. Abrams has confirmed that Jennifer Morrison, who plays the title character’s medical protégé on “House,” is in Abrams’ new “Star Trek” movie.

"She is indeed in the movie," Abrams tells TV Guide’s Michael Ausiello, "and she is most excellent!"

Abrams denies Morrison is playing Janice Rand in the feature. So who then? Perhaps Carol Marcus, who would bear Kirk a son and a shiny Spock-resurrecting terraforming machine? Perhaps Janice Lester, who had a Starfleet Academy romance with Kirk long before she took over his body?

Speaking of “Trek” casting news (and resurrections), William Shatner continues to deny that he has been offered any role in the Abrams “Trek” film, but Shatner did confirm to Howard Stern late last week that Abrams came to the “Boston Legal” set twice to talk about Abrams’ “Trek” movie -- long before Paramount announced Abrams as the project’s director.

Read all of Ausiello's story on Morrison's "Trek" casting here.

The premise of the movie I've read online validates that Hollywood is out of original ideas...

(Highlight Spoilers Below)

They basically rip the old "City On The Edge Of Forever" story, have the Romulans find out about it, rub Kirk out of history, old Spock contacts young Spock to go back to stop it, lather, rinse, repeat...

So PeeWee, they aren't doing anymore Star Treks with the Next Generation crew? I wouldn't mind them doing another one with them.

You seriously still haven't figured it out?

Ok, McFly, at the bottom of the page, where you type in replies, next to the "Post Quick Reply" button on the right is another button that says "Go Advanced". If you use your mouse to position your pointer over the "Go Advanced" button and then press the left button on your mouse (If you use a single button mouse on a Mac, that would be a different story), you will be taken to a different reply page.

Now, on that page, if you look above the reply box (the rectangular white area, not the gray area), you will see three (3) different "drop-down" boxes. One for "Font" (The "style" of character used), one for "Size" (How large or small the character will be displayed) and finally, one for "Color". If you use your mouse to click on the "Color" box (Remember to use the left button!) you can select different colors for the characters to be displayed with. I chose a color similar to the background, that is why you have trouble seeing it until you highlight the area.

We can go into "highlighting" things at a later date if you wish.

The hell with that!!!!

The Trek movies with the new gen were absolutely lame.

The original reels to those films should be burned and doused with acid.

Smart ass.

Anyway, I thought there was an "invisitext" option like there is on some other sites. I guess there isn't.

I don't know what's worse: a star track thread or watching someone struggle for half a page because someone changed the color of text.

Clifton Collins Jr. has joined the cast of Paramount Pictures and J.J. Abrams' reinvention of the "Star Trek" film franchise reports Variety. Collins will play Ayel, the cohort and general to Nero, played by Eric Bana.

JFXonline has got the first shot of Zach Quinto as young Spock on the set, along with images of what looks like a Vulcan council meeting taking place.

Harlan Ellison, the writer of classic "Star Trek" episode "The City on the Edge of Forever," is not happy that story elements of his are being used for the upcoming film and tells SyFy Portal that a lawsuit may soon happen.

Finally, "Star Trek New Voyages" producer James Cawley claims to have seen the newly redesigned Starship Enterprise being used for the film and isn't happy with it, his comments can be found at Trekweb.

What are you, insane? They weren't great, but they were better than Treks I, III, IV, V and VI... I mean, The Wrath of Khan is really the only good old Trek movie.

The Borg, not the Borgs. They are a collective, remember?

Next Gen was great after season 2 (the first two season are hard to watch). How can you diss on Picard like that? I suppose you hate DS9 and Voyager too?

BTW, I respect old Trek, love the characters and storylines, but the movies were mostly lame.

Picard was pretty damn cool. But, it annoyed me every time he referred to "Number 2". It made me laugh the first thousand times he said it, but then it just got annoying.

Truthfully, I really did enjoy DS9. I don't know why they killed it off. Voyager though, I though was shit.

As for the original crew's movies . . . I wasn't too crazy about the 1st one and the 4th one was pure shit (The Voyage Home). All that Humpback whale bullshit was just retarded. I thought the 5th, The Final Frontier wasn't all that good but it produced one of the most memorable lines by Kirk (aside from "Khaaaaaaaaaaaan!!!!"), "What does God need with a starship?".

The second and third movies were spectacular. "The Wrath of Khan" is one of the best sci-fi movies ever and "The Search for Spock" was pretty damn imaginiative. I also like "The Undiscovered Country". I think it's a very underrated film. Shit, it has Christopher Plummer and even "Worf" makes an appearance in the movie.
