I am going to give my mom money for when she goes to Target. They are going to have 1000 thread count sheets, any size for $19. I love soft sheets.

I will be taking care of my nephews while they shop. I have the much, MUCH easier job. People on Black Friday are crazy.

Why is it called Black Friday? That's kind of racist. I mean it's basically saying that these are the types of prices that black people and other miniorities can only afford.

Yeah, that's it. :lol

It's actually when stores finally get "into the black"--out of the red--making money, in other words.

I went to Walmart for Black Friday last year, and the cops had to arrest people for stealing the laptops and cameras. Chaos everywhere. I think I'll sit out on this one.

It's the break even point. I know you're just being sarcastic, but just for the sake of knowledge... most businesses operate in "the black" (profits) versus debts (in the red) from January to November. They recover their funds at this time, when spending is at a premium. That's why this time of the year is so important.

i dont understand the point of the day?

dont buy shit on this day to stand up against people being idiots when it comes to purchasing?

Or is it a bigger message that we consume too much stuff? If so then whats the fucking point of cutting up credit cards?

I cannot imagine what is so worth buying at Kohl's on Black Friday to make someone shop there when it opens at 4 a.m.

Additional generic comment downplaying the allure of blackfriday under the guise of acting too cool to wake up early for huge savings on merchandise.

My friend dragged me there last year, since I was visiting from out of town it was a chance for us to "hang out." It was chaotic but kind of fun too! It's funny to see how crazy people act sometimes.

Why do you care if people are morons and fall into debt?

Let them spend trillions so those who invest can have a decent 4th qtr.

Was there a line inside for the electronics? I would imagine people are going to go early early to get those laptops and comps.

Those are the worst stores to shop at for Black Friday....the Best Buy near me has people camped out there the night BEFORE. And the popular stuff always gets sold out fast and so you end up buying the "alternative" item which is always pricier and not really as much of a bargain.

I stick with Malls for this reason on Black Friday. In fact, I got to TWO different Malls just so I have all my options. :lol
