Now the songs that are on my library won't transfer over to the iPod! WTF!!???It has to do with the new iTunes upgrade. You have to remove iTunes completely (through the add/remove programs option in your control panel), download the new version, install, and sync. I had to do that last night.

Sorry Im stupid when it comes to this type of stuff. It should automatically update and reload (mine did -- I think it makes a backup as part of the removal process), but you can copy the contents of the "iTunes Music" folder onto your desktop before you remove the program if you're worried about losing things.

Yeah she knew exactly what to do because she said whe went through the exact same thing the night before. I was dumb because I was so close to clicking no. Something that should have taken 5 minutes to download a few songs onto my iPod ended up taking an hour. And the funny thing is I don;t know what the benefit of all that crap was. Whoo-hoo I now have iTunes 7.5 or whatever the crap.... I was so close to.... :pctoss :lol

If it did happen to that it had been some sort of virus that corrupted it I might as well had gave it away. :lol Thats the fist thing I thought when I looked down at a blank screen where my songs used to be. I was like what the.... But when she told me that it was a normal upgrade I felt a little better. I figured even if I lose my songs I'll just buy some of them over again. I only have something like 140 songs or something and I probably now only listen to about 30 of them on a regular basis. I think Midge asked for it before when I posted in the iPod forum about finding this one,.

i upgraded to 7.5 two weeks ago and had no issues on XP. it did correct a bunch of duplicate song titles i was too lazy to fix in my library though.

I found my iPod in Fye in between some Dvd movies. And on the other question can we keep stuff found on shift. Anything over a certain value you are supposed to turn in. If no one ever claims it it normally becomes "city property". That means the mayor and her cronnies get a brand new iPod... :lol

Dude how do you get songs off your iPod? I know how to delete them off the library, but even once I do that the same songs are still on my iPod. What am I doing wrong?

The last time I updated mine, all my songs were gone and I had to re-install iTunes again on my computer. I thought that I had just uploaded a virus or something on to it...
