I don't understand. WHAT is so special about this guy that they're willing to give him chance after chance after... ?
I thought the NFL was cracking down on people like him.

Pot's on hell of a drug.

Not really... it's just that it takes so long for metabolized THC to get out of your body, so it's really easy to fail a drug test for pot if you don't cheat on it or use fast track detox methods. I could smoke a joint and pass a drug test two days afterward. Failing a drug test for pot means you are supremely dumb. Ricky Williams might get a free pass on the dumb thing because the NFL does random drug testing, but if I were an NFL player and I were using drugs, I'd start those homemade detox procedures almost immediately just to be safe.

He didn't abuse or destroy animals, and no one in his posse shot anyone in a club, so I'm not sure exactly what you mean by "people like him". He smoked some weed, and did his suspension.
