When Newsweek announced Tuesday that it was hiring Markos Moulitsas of Daily Kos to be a contributor during the 2008 presidential campaign, Kos told his readers, "Newsweek is ‘balancing' me out with someone that should make heads on our side explode."
As reported by the Washington Post moments ago, Moulitsas was quite prescient:
Newsweek has signed the president's former deputy chief of staff [Karl Rove] as a commentator who will turn out several columns on the 2008 campaign through inauguration day.
The Post continued (emphasis added throughout, h/t NBer Right2thePoint):
The move is not likely to prove popular among liberals who believe the mainstream media have been too soft on the Bush administration.
"We want to give readers a feel for what it's like to be on the inside," says Newsweek Editor Jon Meacham. "Our readers are sophisticated enough to know that what they get from Karl has to be judged in the context of who Karl is...Readers will have to decide if he's simply an apologist."
Newsweek (which is owned by The Washington Post Co.) will announce tomorrow that it is granting regular space to both Rove and Markos Moulitsas, the liberal firebrand who founded the Web site Daily Kos. "I'm fully prepared for both the right-wing and left-wing blogosphere to be outraged, which means we're doing our job," Meacham says.

Newsweek hires Kos : Hannity and Colmes Lose Mind - Again. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x7qujBBUH8w)
Colmes does his usual wan job of playing desperate defense, and also as usual no-one is listening when he points out - like - the facts.
Poor little Alan. All dressed up for a fair fight only to be rabbit punched into oblivion once more. He's like Charlie Brown trying to kick the football, and falling on his back as Lucy yanks it back out of the way each and every time.

I'd pay good money to watch you get massacred in a debate with Sean Hannity.

Whannity doesn't debate. He ignores other people's questions to then ask loaded yes or no questions.
After he debated James Carville he made the comment that he did not like the format. Each side was given 20 minutes to state their case. In other words in a true debate format he couldn't bully people or ask them stupid questions.
Examples of why this guy , along with hush and yonivore, is the biggest hypocrite out on the radio and web.
Then Hannity insists that "as a result of the Clinton administration’s refusal to confront this tyrant, future generations of Americans are now forced to coexist with an isolated, militaristic nation that possesses the most terrible of weapons – and a maniacal dictator who might be willing to use them" (p. 197). But again, how many Republican presidents have we had since the Korean War who "refused to confront" the dictators of North Korea? One – Eisenhower, two – Nixon, three – Ford, four – Reagan, five – Bush I, six – Bush II. Surely Hannity would not say that North Korea has only been a "threat" to the U.S. under the presidency of Bill Clinton?
HOW DOES YOUR STYLE COMPARE WITH OTHER CONSERVATIVE COMMENTATORS'?
One of the things I think works for me is, I am passionate about my belief system but I try never to forget the human side of the debate. I don't take it personally, and I don't make it personal. You can play golf with liberals, be neighbors with them, go out to dinner. I just don't want them in power.
The follwoing is from his 'debate' with Rocky Anderson
Mayor Anderson was up first and spent 30 minutes outlining the common values of all Americans and how the Bush Administration has systematically betrayed each and every one of the ideals all Americans hold dear. In a thoughtful, respectful and well-researched manner, Rocky offered written evidence, video proof and historical quotes and context to speak to the fact that Bush lied to get into the war, has mishandled the war, supports torture, lied about wire-tapping and has ruined the reputation of America.
In defense of the President, Sean Hannity spent the first few minutes of his speech making personal attacks against Rocky Anderson. The body of his speech was spent picking on liberals, showing video of John Kerry, Hillary Clinton and others "flip-flopping" on the war and he mounted no defense whatsoever for President Bush. Most of the speech had the same talking points as the talk he gave to Utah Valley State College (we've posted some clips of it here on our blog.) He then closed his speech with video of gassed Iraqi Kurds and calling for Rocky Anderson's impeachment.

Like I said, I'd pay good money to watch Sean Hannity massacre you in a debate with, as you said, you using his tactics...whatever you perceive them to be.

So if your pro-U.S. (whatever that means) your pro-mercenaries....from the accounts I've read of the Fallujah bridge incident the guys went under-armed into a hot area with no back-up....but we showed them, we cleared all the civilians out (or at least those that could get out)...gated the whole city....and then proceeded to level the town....
