To give these little feeble Mavs fan a feeling like they might actually have a chance at a Championship.

We all know that when push comes to shove, they back down like little bitches.

So, I like letting them enjoy this false sense of security.

It's the little things that make me happy.

There was nothing fun about the game I just saw. I don't understand why people here can't just give props for a well deserved win. I dislike the Mavs too, but they BEAT us today, plain and simple

They beat us today, but you're not taking into the consideration of other factors that garnered them that W, besides than just matching up with the Spurs.

Yeah. Because everybody thought it would have been better if Terry went and slapped him on his ass and said That's alright dude, you'll hit the next one :tu

I think Pop does this on purpose. At least I'm starting to see a trend.

He allows the Spurs to loose early....

1. Well, because it's November.

2. I think Pop enjoys riding everyone's ass up to the Rodeo Road Trip.

I didn't see a sense of urgency from the Spurs at the start. I guess that comes from knowing the season is 100+ games long.

Props for the Mavs for the win. A win is a win. It still is the playoffs that counts. I'll wait for them till playoffs comes.

Seriously it's November. I don't think Pop even wears underwear under the suits until at least late March.

This victory and $1.08 will get the Mavs a Hot 'N Spicy Chicken Sandwich at McDonald's.

I hate the fact that Mav players get so cocky after beating the Spurs. Celebrating after every play? What's worse is that they actually think they can take us in a series, and the Spurs didn't do anything really to make them feel like they can't. However I will take comfort in the notion that is just November, and Mavs have shown time and time again, the higher they are; the harder they fall.

The it's just November talk is bullshit. They just matchup/outmatch us.

Let's keep it real. It will take everything for the Spurs to make it through Dallas to the finals. I don't even think the Spurs hit their full potential last year because of the competition but I am positive if they can ever play on ALL cylinders, Spurs cannot be beat.

I'm not worried yet but there is no question Dallas is The HUGE threat.

Yeah I'll give mavs props tonight. We sucked tonight, and we could have made more of an effort, I don't give a flying fuck if its november, it's obviously a "big" game as in against a possible contender, yet we were pathetic from start to finish.

Basically the Mavs winning a Championship is kinda like the dorky friend that want to to get laid.
He constantly talks trash, but never can seal the deal...Finally in 2006, we let him step up to the plate, it's set up perfectly for him. She's drunk, a little fat, and insecure.

He takes her back to his room. Even gets to second base....I mean he's home free now right.....WRONG....He then proceeds to choke and throw up all over her.

Disgusted, she sobers up, put her clothes back on, then leaves and he's just stuck in the room, by himself, with nothing to show expect a puke stained shirt, and the feeling of choking in the biggest moment of his life.

Welcome to the life of a Mav fan

And then egging on the fans.

Class, Mavs, and Mavs fans don't belong on the same page.

if mavs win people say its november and spurs dont care; spurs win and mavs arent on spurs level. When push come to shove both teams are very close to each other and both capable of beating each other in the playoffs.

Dallas beat us fair and square. End of story for today. I don't think Pop would really love to lose this game today.

Dallas is always a threat to us. We have beaten them in a series and they returned the favor to us in 2006. We are quite uncomfortable matching up against them, unlike against Phoenix, where we know it's just a matter of time in the 3rd or 4th quarter when we assert our supremacy. Against Dallas, with both teams playing their best, it'll always be a cliffhanger, too often a game will be decided by luck or some breaks. It's nice to see at least some competition.

That's why I'll start cheering for those Golden Dwarves. :D Too bad, I think they'll miss the playoff this year with a dismal 3-79 record. Those 3? Of course, versus Dallas. :P

Spurs went 6-6 against their playoff opponents last year in the regular season, including 0-2 against their Finals opponent, who looked like they had the Spurs' number.

..........so, and they beat us last year and the year before as well.....how many ships did they win??? None......also, its the Mavs that came in here talking BIG smack after last nights game. Instead of saying .......hey, its 1-0 Spurs.....we have 3 more to go. The trolls come in here acting like a win against the defending champs in November guarantees them a ring. :rolleyes

I think the Spurs were due to lose one. Pop needed it for the "incentive" talks. I figued it was all over the couple of times the camera caught Pop yawning on the bench. Like he was really worried about it.

I don't worry about any losses the Spurs have until after the rodeo road trip. Just as long as they keep everyone relatively healthy and gear up for the final couple of months and the playoffs, the Spurs will be fine.

As for losing to the Mavs, well, when you face a team that was put together specifically to beat you, they really should win now and then. But I'm certainly not ready to panic or concede anything to them in a early season loss.

Mavs went 0-3 against the Warriors last year, and won the last 2 regular season games against the Spurs in 05-06. The Mavs' regular season correlates extremely well with what happens in their playoff runs.

Can't tell you how many fans let me know on my way out of the Mavs regular season victory over the Spurs in April of '06 that "just wait until the playoffs, the Spurs will kick your ass when it counts." How'd that one work out?

As is the running theme of blaming the refs for the loss last night. Some of you sound like SpursDynasty sock puppets. Or Mav trolls whining bitterly about Dwyane Wade.

You stay classy, San Antonio.
