Ok, after reading this thread http://spurstalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=81688 ,

I sent an email to JJ Taylor, the author of that crap :

" I read your article and thought It was pretty pathetic.

I admit that Dallas is a very good team; are they afraid of the Spurs? No; can they win the championship? No.

The Spurs didn't care about this game; they have nothing to prove; the Mavs do; the Spurs tend to care as the playoffs approach; the last time these 2 teams had met, right before the 2007 playoffs, the Spurs were easily in control, before Joey Crawford ejected Tim Duncan at the end of the 3rd quarter; the Mavs still needed their best players to take control late in the 4th; the funny part is that right before that game, Avery Johnson told the medias that this game was meaningless, but he kept his starters on the flour to beat the Duncan-less Spurs.

I don't think the Mavs have what it takes to win a championship. The Spurs are once again flying under the radar and will repeat. The younger, deeper and more athletic Mavs will repeat as regular season champions. "

HIS ANSWER :

"Guess we'll find out "

they are confident they can win a title but they still don't know how...I guess :lol

-best record(60+ wins), is not the answer
-beating the Spurs in the WC finals in not the answer
-beating your finals opponent in the 1st 2 games (up 2-0) in the finals not the answer either
-facing the lowest seeded team in the 1st rnd of the playoffs is not a guaranty too.
-playing like MVP for Dirk not too.
-playing some D not the answer also

so many Q that need answers.

But really, why is a fan of a 4 time champion taking the time to email Dallas a sports writer? It really is humorous how much space the supposedly vastly inferior Mavs have rented out inside your head. You shouldn't give up such "prime" real estate so easily.

he was probably at a loss for words due to the barrage of semi-colons he had to sift thru.

the writer had like 10000000000324 emails to read and tons of deadlines, he probably cut and paste that answer

he dont care.

I can't believe he even took the time to respond. That was a pretty stupid email.

Why don't you just say: The Mavs suck. The Spurs rule!

doesn't that apply to a guy whose team is the mavs hanging out on this site? can we stop pretending that two of the best teams in the league, which reside in the same conference, which reside in the same state, which share a major highway connection, will not feature prominently among their fans' discussions?
