you know what~
Tim Duncan who had been selected to every All-Star team since he entered the league in 1997.
However, he can't do it again~
Over 200 million Chinese will vote for Yao ~
I don't know who put Duncan into center position..
This is perplexing.
That means Duncan can't be a westren starter in 2008 NBA All-Star Game..
Duncan who is the best player in the league is over.
I'm a Chinese, but i am a spurs fan as well.
Although every Chinese vote for Yao. but i will vote for Timmy
Cause i love Duncan better than Yao.
Go spurs Go~

i dont think duncan gives a shit whether his in or starting for the ASG, we the majority of his fans prefer him to take that day off and spend it with his family....
The ASG is nothing special like it use to in the good old days in the 90s where the game was played seriously as compared today where its all about marketing the stars and emerging young crop of nba players.

Thanks for your comment, i know what you mean.
But you know~
In my own opinion, i think this is an honor for a player to play ASG.
Hopefully Dunacn can be a starter in ASG this year.

Yeah...What I LOVE about Duncan is he is about the only player in the league who doesn't care about stats and ASGs as long as he wins...he will step up if he needs to also. Look at Game 4 of the Finals last year...12 points. He was just "I'll ride TP, thanks for the break by the way," I love that in a player.

problem with globalization. Americans treat everyone equally where as other participating nations treats their sons (in this case citizens) very dearly.
Let us say Duncan is not in the list and only Americans are allowed to vote, Yao will still get American Votes and start or at least it would be a very close contest between Yao and Amare. Is n't it a fair treatment considering what Yao and Amare has achieved so far?
On the other hand, if Yi is included as East Forward, he will beat out Kevin Garnett. Thank God, Yi was not included.

And yet, the Spurs aren't an easy sell to the American sports fan because they are 'too foreign'...

Couldn't Yi be put in as a write in? Just because he's not on the ballot doesn't mean he can't receive votes.
In which case, he could get 100 million himself.
Regardless of the voting, is there any chance whatsoever that Duncan will not be on the All Star team? Come on.

I like duncan to build a franchise around him and play on his team, but i would never vote for him for the all star game. It's just not fun to watch. I don't want also guys like dirk to make a 3pointer, in that game i want alley opps or dunks or a great plays.
