List of the most dangerous US cities (based on rates of murder, rape, robbery, aggravated assault, burglary, and motor vehicle theft).

http://www.infoplease.com/ipa/A0921299.html

Not one of the cities in the top 23 have a large immigrant or hispanic base. Not a single one.
San Bernardino California is the first one that shows up at 24.

So the next one here that uses the baseless stereotype that immigrants give rise to the crime rate will be shown the facts.

Again, the actions of a few do not a whole population define.

So what about social care/hospital costs? Identity theft?

I also have to question the validity of this thing if it doesn't have Houston in its top 25 most dangerous cities.

Since the illegals are their illegally and the gov doesn't know they are there, how would they know who they are, let alone their ethinicity, so how would they be included in the census?

That's fine. But please explain why illegal immigrants have such a disproportional high percentage in prison for serious crimes.

I don't know of a single xenophobe of all the people I know who stand against illegal immigration.

Don't you guys get it.... the word ILLEGAL!

Can we place this in the proper perspective please?

'why illegal immigrants have such a disproportional high percentage in prison for serious crimes."

For the same reason that "legal" blacks, aka US citizens, are dramatically over-represented in US prisons: poverty and a prejudicial legal system.

Same reason thugs and criminals are a major problem in "illegal" dubya's 51st state of Iraq: poverty.

ChumpDumper vs Whottt: The globalist edition would be a great debate thread.

Or should it be called Globalism: The Chumpdumper vs Whottt edition?

Why? Because I'm trying to dispel the tendency of using stereotypes as a valid argument?

That would make too much sense.

Wikipedia:
As of the censusGR2 of 2000, there were 99,216 people, 34,625 households, and 23,025 families in the city. The population density was 3,309.5 inhabitants per square mile (1,277.8/kmē). There were 36,044 housing units at an average density of 1,202.3 per square mile (464.2/kmē). The racial makeup of the city was 21.36% white, 36.06% black or African American, 0.64% Native American, 12.29% Asian, 0.50% Pacific Islander, 13.86% from other races, and 5.27% from two or more races. 26.53% of the population were Hispanic or Latino of any race.

If Wiki's facts are straight on this one.... 26.5% can hardly be considered a majority.

Good question....

It would be beyond coincidence however for the cities that are associated with hispanics or latinos to not have made the list....

Where are Los Angeles, Miami, [Insert any Texas City], Chicago?

It's probably meaningless, but the top 17 most dangerous cities have, on average, a population which is made up of 54.8% African Americans.

The Least Dangerous? 3.1%

It's just a conicindence, I'm sure.

31.2% of our federal prison population are Hispanic or Latino. They only represent 12.5% of the population. Blacks represent 40.1% of the population and make up 12.3% of the population. When you separate the Hispanic numbers to legal and illegal, the figures dramatically changes. I don't have those numbers, but as I recall, the legal immigrants have a lower than average prison rate, and the illegal Hispanic numbers shoot up beyond the numbers of the black prison population.

17% of the federal prison population are of Mexican citizenship. Most of them are illegal immigrants rather than legal. Of the 62,426 hispanic/latino, 33,936 or 54.4% are of Mexican citizenship alone. Add Columbia, Cuba, and the Dominican Republic, the number is now 41,792. 66.9% of just these four citizenship groups. Somewhere less than 33% of the hispanic/latino prisoners are of USA citizenship. This is easily a 2:1 margin. Most of the non USA numbers will be illegal. The illegal popuation estimates are now well above 20,000,000. 12,000,000 is an old number. Most are from south of thye border. There is an estimated 38,356,001 hispanic/latino presence in the USA just extrapolating 1990 to 2000 census numbers out to 2007. Since they flood the border, the number is likely higher that extrapolation allows.
