Maybe the Mavs will be better off playing all 82 games with the Spurs. It seems to me they only get up for them.

Couple things - we need to do some tweaking on some areas of our play, secondly, we need Horry back now, Udoka is kind of clueless on the defensive rotations but he isn't horrible.
third, I think it was TP himself who took Manu out of his rythm when he selfishly started going to the basket during the second quarter. He basically didn't pass the ball to Ginobili for 4-5 consecutive plays. Kind of sad.

I know...but if he keeps the elite level of play up that he showcased in the Finals...you never know. :lol
Come on, you are better than that. TP had no player in front of him against the Cavs. With a capable PG on the other side, he wouldn't have had that kind of impact.

Parker goes for 31 and 9 while making 13-of-20 shots and the Church of Manu calls him a ball hog.
Classic.

I really think Ginobili couldn't care less when the Spurs were up 20 while TP was doing it. :rolleyes
They're not competing with each other, I'm pretty sure it's relaxing to have two other guys alternate with you in making comfortable wins.

Second Quarter
9:02 Tony Parker enters the game for Jacque Vaughn 36-23
8:48 Manu Ginobili makes 25-foot three point jumper (Tony Parker assists) 39-23
8:34 Michael Finley enters the game for Manu Ginobili
:rolleyes

I know, it's annoying from time, to time, but it's really hard to take seriously after a while..
Before the boards little disputes (involving Ducks and stuff), I never really thought of Tony and Manu as competing against each other. I wasn't even aware of the "parker-Manu competition" before.

I see you are deeply touched by what I said but watch the second quarter again. The point I made is just that, an opinion (read it again), my opinion and you are entitled to disagree but please don't blame me for loving how Manu plays or take it against other Manu lovers. There's all kind of people in here.
I was born in Buenos Aires and it would just make no sense if I didn't feel anything for his kind of game or watch closely what he does or doesn't more than any other player in the team.
Now, from that, to be a part of the "church of manu" or go nuts on things like this, there's a big distance.

I disagree with your viewpoint that Parker somehow hurt Manu in the second quarter since Parker and Manu barely played together in the beginning of the quarter (and in the 15 seconds they played together, Parker had an assist to Manu) and at the end of the quarter Parker was rolling by the time Manu came back in. Parker had the first six points of a 19-point stretch in which Parker scored 17 and had the assist on the other basket.
Blaming Parker for obliterating the Hawks in the second quarter would be like blaming Manu for scoring 24 straight points the last time the Spurs were in Atlanta.
But, as always, you are entitled to your opinion.
P.S.
I don't get deeply touched by anything in a Spurs vs. Hawks game in November.

We could have used this killer Tony @Mavs.The last couple games, Parker seemed to be playing in a fog. After the way he played tonight after the days off, I think it's safe to attribute his poor play to fatigue.
However, that's kinda scary seeing as the Spurs play 5 games in 7 nights and 7 games in 11 nights.
