Did you read where the producers of SS are saying the early shows aren't suitable for children?

Fuck that.

they mix in the old clips on the new episodes, i catch the BB King clips every once in a while watching with my daughter. it's still a great show for kids to watch.

Sesame Street, The Muppet Show, The Electric Company, Mr. Wizard, 3-2-1 Contact vs. Barney & Friends, The Teletubbies, The Wiggles.

I feel sorry for my younger sisters.

No doubt. I'm a child of the 70's and seeing clips like this one, or bits from The Electric Company (perhaps even moreso), can prove that sometimes having a lot of options (like today) isn't always a great thing.

Celebrities used to beg to be on Sesame Street and get turned down! Muppet show, as well.

LMAO! I can't count how many times I saw Cookie Monster eat his pipe on Monsterpiece Theater. Lots of stuff I grew up watching is garbage (Transformers for example), but that was a badass show and is still good when I look back at it 20-25 years later.

And even then, with proper parenting, what's the harm?

I can see the one about not wanting your kid to follow some random adult for milk and cookies though.

If I had done a shitload of mind altering drugs and had zero musical taste, I would probably agree with that.

I can say with complete honesty I had never heard of Bruce Haack until you posted his name.

Did the required Google and YouTube viewing, and it does pique my interest.

I do not, however, rescind my previous snarky comment.

And today's youth is exactly the kind of stupid people that would actually do that.
