80 FUCKING POINTS IN THE FIRST HALF.

But a disgusting 63 points given up to the Kings.

Even more amazing is that they only took nine three pointers in the first half (making five).

Even more amazing is that the Kings have yet to play a game with all five starters.

It seemed the Suns could not miss in the first half, especially Nash.

Which is why it's disgusting to give up 63 points to a team missing Ron Artest and Mike Bibby, amongst others, in the first half.

How does Phoenix go into the second half with 80 points, and then end up with just 127?? I thought they were going to outscore the Spurs tonight...

So much for insanely fast paced

Probably just took their foot off the pedal. No sense in running it up on the Kings. A win's a win, just ask New England

They had 110 after three quarters, but then they put in mainly scrubs and only scored 17 in the final quarter. Rookie Alando Tucker had 10 of the 17 points.

so is this how D'Antoni plans to use his bench? Hope his team runs up 110 or so after 3 quarters so he can reluctantly put in his bench players?

what a fucking loser ass coach

They're just running and gunning like they're suppose to, wait till they run into the Big Aristotle and Flash and we shut them down with blocks we're supposed to block.

Wow, I can't wait for that game. No disrespect, but I don't see Phoenix as a good matchup for Shaq. In fact, I predict he plays less than 20 minutes in the game.

They didn't play their starters for the entire fourth. That's how. Duh.

First half was a freakin video game, though.

Can the guy do anything right, in your opinion, or do you just hate him that much? First everyone wants to criticize him for not using his bench, then people like you want to criticize him for using them.

For the record, D'Antoni actually used the bench early in the game too, going to Marcus Banks (for Hill) & Diaw (for Amare) at the 5:56 mark of the 1st quarter. Banks then played the rest of the half. Then Skinner started the 2nd quarter and played all of it except the final 1:17. As I said, 4th quarter was all bench. Not a single starter played more than 29 minutes.

So you're pretty much 100% wrong about everything you said. Did you actually watch the game or look at the box score, or is your hatred of D'Antoni sufficient to justify any misinformed conclusion that pops into your head? Think before you type. :spin

I'm going to go ahead and assume that you're a Suns fan, despite your personal info saying you're a Spurs fan. If I'm right, you can access the personal info via the "Control Panel" link just below the Spurstalk banner.

As for the D'Antoni talk... He's a first-class clown. However, he's a clown that's used his entire bench the last two games. He used Diaw, Skinner and Piatkowski on Tuesday, each for a dozen minutes or so, then used Diaw, Banks, Skinner for a dozen minutes each or more, and the remainder of his bench for roughly a dozen minutes as well.

Maybe he's learning? Or... Maybe its necessity. When Bell comes back and the Suns are fully healthy, don't be surprised to see Nash, Barbosa, Hill and Marion each playing 35 minutes or more, with Amare and Bell playing 30 minutes, Diaw playing 25 or so, Skinner playing 15 or fewer, and no sight of Banks, Marks, Tucker or whomever else unless emergency dictates.

If he's learning, then I give him credit. However, he's yet to show he deserves the benefit of the doubt for being able to learn. He's seven-manned each Suns team for as long as he's coached.

I was talking specifically about this game only. I watched the game, then read the guy's post and it didn't think it was possible that he even watched the game himself.

BTW, I am actually a Spurs fan, but more of a basketball fan overall. They only let you pick one favorite team on this blog, and I have a few favorites: Spurs, Mavericks, Suns, and Jazz (I love watching D. Williams!). So to avoid unnecessary hostility, I picked Spurs. And why not, they're the champs?

JMarkJohns

Fair enough. For the past few games, I can see why some would be hopeful.

I'm glad to see Skinner having success with you guys. He was one of my favorite Kings and I've watched his monster block on Marion 1000x.

Kings fans, what do you think of the guard situation you have right now? Do you like Udrih's play or Francisco Garcia better so far? Garcia seems to be the better scorer and Udrih better at assisting.

TheSanityAnnex
11-22-2007, 05:56 PM
Neither. We need a real starting point guard who's name is not Mike Bibby.

Hah... well, they pretty much played the scrubs for the entire 4th qtr, which slowed the scoring down a little.
