no shit, he is the whole team. I know Jones looks good too, but take DMac out of there and it's a different ballgame. They are so on their heels with him out there

If they pull off the upset, that might just clinch it for him.

I did the 3 year stats of Peterson and McFadden. Their best years are about even. The only thing is Peterson's best year was his freshman year and McFadden was his junior.

Peterson
Freshman 04 yr 13 G rush 339 1925 5.7 avg 15 td rec 5 12 2.4 avg 0
Sophomore 05 yr 11 G rush 220 1108 5.0 avg 10 td rec 9 50 4.6 avg 0
Junior 06 yr 07 G rush 188 1012 5.4 avg 12 td rec 10 136 13.6 avg 1

McFadden
Freshman 05 yr 11 G rush 176 1113 6.3 avg 11 td rec 14 52 3.7 avg 0
Sophomore 06 yr 14 G rush 284 1647 5.8 avg 14 td rec 11 149 13.5 avg 1
Junior 07 yr 12 G rush 304 1725 5.7 avg 15 td rec 21 164 7.8 avg 1

Minnesota needs to start tanking a little harder, draft McFadden, start him at QB and run wishbone with Taylor and Peterson at TBs. :lol

I know I'm biased but I been saying it for a while.

DMac won't get the H even though he deserves it.

Tebow has a lock on the Heisman with 5 more touchdowns tonight.

Season total - 51 touchdowns.
29 Passing
22 Rushing

McFadden will have to settle for 2nd place and the Nations top RB. Not too shabby.

I disagree. 321 yards against South Carolina and 206 yards against #1 LSU will net McFadden the Heisman.

Both were awesome games, but they look at the stats over the entire season, not just 2 games. If you're going to be selective, a Tebow fan would point out that McFadden's worst 3 games , against Mississippi, Auburn and Fla. International, went for a combined total of 64 carries and 192 yards (3.0 per carry)

Not a fan of either team ,and both are great players, but the combined rushing and passing stats Tebow has put up are unparalled.
IMO, Tebow wins going away.

Tebow is also a sophomore and he plays for a program (Florida) that is loaded with great players to take pressure off of him. Arkansas would be lucky to win 2 games without McFadden. Tebow's a great player, but McFadden will win the Heisman.

[QUOTE=tlongII]Tebow is also a sophomore
The court orders that arguement to be stricken from the record and would advise the Heisman voters to disregard that statement as prejudiced and immaterial. :lol

They finished with 3 losses, so maybe they're not as "loaded" with great players as you would have us believe.

Nope, don't agree with that at all t. Mcfadden's sidekick, Felix Jones, rushed for 1,117 yards and averaged 9.1 yds per carry this year (1,168 and 7.6 last year).
Mcfadden averaged 5.7 yards per carry.

(Don't be shy about admitting that you're startin' to lean towards Tebow)

Dude your such a shitty poster its unreal. Tell me you're older than 10?

I tried to show statistically and record wise mcfadden is having a lackluster season compared to sophmore year when he made everyone get high expectations of him, which was before this last game.

If you actually read more than two words in a post and grew more than half a fucking brain you'd understand that.
I think McFadden is bad ass, definitely did deserve heisman consideration, but realistically, the main stream media is too deeply impaled by Tim Tebow's cock to really give a shit about what McFadden does now. It's sad, because they practically christened Tebow after like week 3. Anything this guy does is supposed to be breakthrough, and amazing, and he's just a picture perfect Heisman camera boy for the NCAA.

If Ark didn't lose so many games it would be closer but even with Florida losing 3 games, they're so high on Tebow that it doesn't matter.

i give it to tebow because he is not only the distributor, but also their power runner. how many other qb's have their been that threw the ball that well AND ran over linebackers? 51 touchdowns is nuts...plus, they'll probably get a bcs at large bid. dmac will finish 2nd.

At least, he SHOULD win it. To me, the Heisman is more a hyped award than it is a deserving one these days. After Vince Young lost by the largest margin ever to Reggie Bush, I knew the whole thing became tarnished.

Mark it, DMac wins it.

DMac didn't get it last year when he was a soph, Smith won it half way through the year even though he wasn't the best player in the nation.

Same fate for Tebow cept he actually isn't the best player in the nation.

Arkansas running back Darren McFadden has Adrian Peterson-like NFL skills. He'll likely be the first pick in next year's NFL draft. I've seen him play in person and he's other-worldly.

But he's not my first pick on my Heisman ballot. Tebow is.

Tebow has seven more rushing touchdowns than McFadden (22-15) on 110 fewer carries. And anybody who watches Tebow on a regular basis knows those TDs weren't simply QB sneaks. Ten of those 22 touchdowns were 5 yards or longer. And by the way, Tebow is the Gators' leading rusher, which means he took a pounding in the same killer SEC as McFadden. Against Florida State in the regular-season finale, he played part of the second half with a broken right hand.

Tebow has four fewer TD passes (29) than Hawaii's Brennan and Mizzou's Daniel (33), but he also has 178 fewer pass attempts than Daniel and 105 fewer than Brennan. And for those who think Tebow somehow doesn't deserve the trophy because Florida isn't a national title contender, remember this: The Gators lost five starters on offense (including their leading running back and wide receiver) and nine on defense from 2006, and since the BCS began in the 1998 season, no team has won back-to-back BCS championships.

The rest of my ballot? McFadden will occupy the No. 2 spot, with Daniel, Brennan, Oregon quarterback Dennis Dixon or West Virginia quarterback Pat White as my likely No. 3.

Well said Gene :clap
