Just cancel this pathetic season. The only real team is Kansas, and they aren't that good compared to the best in every other season. Everybody else sucks major ass. Just blow the whole fucking thing up already.

Don't worry, you can still have the Boise State-Hawaii shootout. 8pm on ESPN2.

This season has been insane. Part of me liked it a lot.

KU has beaten all of 3 teams in a winning record this year...and all of those are 6-5.

Hell, KSU is the 4th best team they have beaten and I'll be the first to admit that we have been terrible.

Horry For 3!

I'd like to see Kansas win out just cause they have sucked all these years.

1 LSU = done
2 Kansas = plays Missouri
3 West Virginia = plays Connecticut
4 Missouri = plays Kansas
5 Ohio State = off

This means the winner of the Kansas/Missouri plays in Big 12 Championship game, they have to win that then they will be in the National Championship game against West Virginia (if they win against Connecticut).

Scenarios...

Kansas vs West Virginia
Missouri vs West Virginia
Kansas vs Ohio State
Missouri vs Ohio State
West Virginia vs Ohio State

I am hoping for Kansas vs West Virginia for the National Championship.

P.S.
I was just looking at the BCS rankings. Georgia actually has an outside chance to make it to the Championship game.

It could be Ohio State vs Georgia in the Championship game.

Although Kansas, Missouri and West Virginia would all have to lose.

Apparently no one else is either. :rolleyes

I liked how until the Colts lost two straight that the NCAA and NFL almost switched roles for the season. About the only good thing that would come from the Pats going 19-0 would be the hype of a college/pro role reversal season.

I think this has been an awesome year for CFB.

I love college football because every game matters. In the NFL you can go 16-0 and lose your first playoff game to a team that was 8-8. Every Saturday is a playoff game, and the playoffs start in September. It's great

Yep. Every game matters in CFB. That's what makes it great.

Really? Doesn't look like the West Virginia/S. Florida game (or the Ohio State/Illinois game) is going to end up mattering.

We have a system that arbitrarily decides which losses 'matter' and which losses we will choose to ignore. That's seriously flawed.

Exactly. And the loser of KU/Missouri will unfairly be out of the MNC game. Why? Because they lost their last game. If this game was in Week 5, then won out, they would still be in the mix. Case in point: West Virginia.

Yeah, the whole "the regular season IS a playoff" argument is complete baloney in every season in which the BCS isn't lucky enough to get 2 - and only 2 - undefeated teams.

Hell, Hawaii has as much a claim to it as anybody. Their win over Boise last night was more impressive than any win that KU is currently sporting.

he means OSU is probably headed for the title game.

They are impressive against who they played. There are at least 10 teams that would annihilate them.

It's not arbitrary.

It's not?

Last year one loss Florida (who lost to a good, but not great Auburn team) was chosen over one loss Michigan (who lost to the #1 team in the country on the road).

BY ITS NATURE, the poll - filled out mostly by SIDs - that plays a major role in the BCS rankings is arbitrary.

hence, college football sucks. Bowls and polls are for pussy figure skaters, not the gridiron.

I love it, too ... Finally, maybe a year without all the "brand" name colleges in the NC ... People may think it sucks, but this is the best thing that could happen to CFB.

Sucks? Hardly.

We only have one more Florida school to get rid of, and that's Florida. So let's all keep our heads up and cheer.

The loser of the KU/Missouri game will not only have failed to win their conference, they will have failed even to qualify for their conference's championship game.

The travesty of Nebraska in 2001 must never be repeated.

The travesty of Nebraska in 2001 must never be repeated. The counter-argument to that is that the two best teams in the country might be in the same conference, or the same division of the same conference.

Not saying that this is the case this year, but it certainly has been valid on occasion in the past.

Who cares about conference standings? Why let anything that happens on the field determine a championship?

Fuck college football's bullshit system. Right now a sport with a real system for determining a champion just started, and college basketball is where it's at. At least the NCAA didn't fuck up basketball with polls and bowls and bullshit. Who really gives a shit about any bowl besides the championship? They're meaningless and are basically the same as "participation" trophys that little kids who suck at sports get. Fuck all that, if you suck and you fail then you're done - deal the fuck with it.
