HOUSTON -- Denver forward Kenyon Martin left the Nuggets' game Saturday night against Houston because of strained right knee.

Martin walked off the floor with 2:43 left in the half. He was evaluated in the locker room and the Nuggets announced in the third quarter that he wouldn't return.

Martin has missed 106 games over the previous two seasons because of microfracture surgeries on both knees.

The 6-foot-9, 240-pound Martin is averaging 8.8 points and 5.3 rebounds.

How come none of these injuries happened when he was in New Jersey? It seems like he became prone to injuries right after he signed a monsterous contract with the Nuggets.
By the way, did he paint his teeth in yellow or are those fake teeth?

Wasn't he recovering from like a broken leg when he was drafted first?

He had bad cold in the 03 Finals, but took 20+ shots anyway, making 2, IIRC.

I may be wrong on this, but I thought he had the surgery after he signed with the Nuggets and he's never recovered from it which is what's causing all his "injuries".

Yup. His injury allowed Tulsa to beat Cincy and created the legend of Bill Self... which as we all know still continues to be nothing but legend to this day.
