I'm absolutely thrilled WVU has a shot to be in the NC game (as long as they don't screw up vs. Pitt, which is a HUGE rivalry game), but any number of teams should be just as worthy of being there, IMHO, which is why we definitely need a PO.

I'm an Ohio State fan, but to be honest I don't even give a shit if they get in. It would be nice, but I was expecting atleast 3 losses this year so I'm not going to get all worked up that a team with 2 seniors doesn't get the hype to make the NC game. Now if this is the case next year I'm sure my feelings will be different

Its just all speculation as to who is the best. There are 20 teams that can say they deserve the title. It just makes ZERO sense to me. Who is to say who can beat who on any given day? I used to think college football was the best.....but, not any more.....too much talk and not enough on field proof. :rolleyes

Yes, next year should be quite interesting. tOSU will be back stronger, plus the #1 and #2 team now is full of mostly Juniors and below from what I've heard. I know that WVU is only going to be missing Reynaud (WR) and Schmitt (FB) on offense - White, Slaton, Devine and the entire offensive line will be back. I heard Mizzou is young this year, too.

UGA will return 9 starters on both sides of the ball. If they win their bowl I think they'll be #1 or #2 preseason next year. Top 5 if they don't win.

Next Year's Top 10 IMO. I can see the case for Florida or OSU being #1. I have OSU in there because a) I'm assuming all JRs stay and b) I'm an OSU fan

1 Ohio State (returns 20 starters)
2 Florida (Tebow and Harvin both back)
3. Oklahoma
4. USC (they will lose alot, but they are the media's darling)
5. Texas
6. West Virginia
7. Georgia

I don't know after that :lol

8. West Virginia (most of O is back, they don't play defense so it shouldn't matter)
9. LSU
10. Illinois (you heard it here first)

You have WVU in there twice (#6 and #8). Also, people tend to think of WVU as being just an offensive football team and totally disregard the fact that they can play defense. Did you know WVU is 6th in the nation in total yards allowed per game and 7th in PPG? Both of those are way better than Florida. Matter of fact, 5 of the 8 Big East teams have better PPG allowed averages than Florida.

Obviously I'm not a college football expert, but I think the competition in the SEC is better at putting up points than they are in the Big East. And my rankings have no validity to them and I am probably 100% off

Georgia needs to be higher than WVU but otherwise I think you're very accurate. Even with the Ohio State bias - what other elite team returns that many starters?

yeah I really like Georgia but I don't know too much about them. I just think they will rate WV high because their main guys return and they will be coming off a National Championship or a near miss.
