Both 22 years old. But who has the brighter future?
Would you trade TParker for Wade?

no because it would take more then tp to get him
tp's d has improved alot
I think wade would work out ok in the spurs system but there are no guarantees

It would not take Manu and Tony to get Wade! In fact, as of right now, it would take Wade and Eddie Jones to get Parker in order ford the contracts to be within 15% of each other. Anyways, I know what you all mean by comparing ability not looking at the contracts. In my opinion, I don't think Wade is that much better than Parker. If Parker was in the Eastern Conference and on a team who lacks scoring options, Parker would score as much as Wade on a daily basis. The only thing that Wade is better at is consistency. Wade consistently perform well every game, while Parker sometimes play a little lackadaisical.

Tony Parker is a nice player and I really like that he is a Spur, but Wade is just on another level.

Ditto. Anyone who says otherwise is clueless.

Plus, Wade's contract is a lot more attractive.

Ducks, Wade is a much better defender than Parker, Parker isn't that strong and his lateral quickness isn't all that impressive. A week ago Wade led ALL guards in blocks per game, over guys like Kobe, Tmac, etc. Obviously that's a small part of playing defense, but it illustrates the physical abilities that Parker just doesn't have. Offensively, Wade is also more consistent, as good a jump shooter save for 3-pointers, and a much better finisher/slasher/scorer.

Either way though, Riley won't trade Wade for Parker, unless Duncan was thrown in. :lol

Miami would have to want to trade Wade for Parker and And1 Hot Dog Manu.

I seriously doubt it.

ducks:

Wade: $2.8M this year, with $12M remaining for the next three years after this season.
Parker: $1.5M this year, with $65M remaining (at least) for the next six years after this season.

It's not even close, Wade has a more attractive contract. Just because they would only be matching contracts if they were traded this season, doesn't mean the Heat are so dumb that they'd simply ignore the rest of Parker's fairly massive contract because Parker and Wade have similar contracts for half of the remaining 2004-2005 season.

Get it?

Um, I'd take Wade and run, and hope I got out of Miami before Heat management came to their senses.

It's really a silly question.

Wade right now is All-NBA 2nd or 3rd team.

He's better than anyone on the Spurs not named Tim Duncan.

That's like comparing Kobe to Knight...
Wade is a franchise player, he just doesn't have an ego... which I find to be perfect, I like him, he's an amazing player..(I also compare him to Kobe). HOWEVER...knight and parker are team players and create, now I'm not saying that Wade doesn't do that, because he does. But parker doesn't do everything to win a game.

Wade is a better performer.Parker is the team key.

That's where I have the problem ..... Parker as the main key .. I thought some guy named Duncan wass that guy.Anyways back to the subject .. Wade is by far one of the hottest guards right now. No way to compare. Wade has a mid - range jumper compared to Parker's ...... I wouldn't call it a jumper but a floater .....Right

If it wasn't for parker, the team wouldn't be where we are at. You have to see how every piece fits at this point, and we could be better. It is a key, but if parker is not there, Tim Duncan is just like Garnett at this point. No one in his team is helping him, and Parker is key for Spurs' success.

That's what I ment with "key".

And Wade has no jumper.. he has layups, dunks, and incredible floaters.

This kind of thread is plainly stupid... I know NBA basketball is the illustration of selfish isolation game (except a few teams walking away of this ... "style") but come on... Use your brain !!! Wade is great but guess what, he's not playing on the same team, system, needs... He's a scorer but put tp in a situation where he HAS to score and you'll see him score A LOT MORE.

Wake up, he is doing what he's requested to do by Pop and, apart from a slow start, is having a great season... Why does so many people seem to dislike our teams when, if not perfect, is very balanced. And by the way if you want to improve the team don't shop our second best player... Non sense !!!

Wade hands down. But Kaster Parker doesn't have good lateral quickness? WTF are you drinking? Parker gets beat on D because of length and strength but he can stay in front of virtually anyone.

I'm curious, did I miss something? or the use of "sense" in your post just a coincidence? :rolleyes

I really like wade but Tp as much science of the game than him. Spurs game is so efficient and collective. He's just 22 with a ring.... and he's not a player who will look for celebrity or argue with his coach because he doenst play 35 min... i dont think a lot of player could have the support that pop put on him... with more experience, he will be so useful and efficient.

Hello back Pepito51 :)

At this point Parker has merley played as a support player, and as a result you have to choose Wade at this point however later Parker may get an opportunity to shine on his own allowing him to be the primary option.

How in the heck did this topic get started!?

Wade >>>> Parker

To say otherwise is pure lunacy.

duh!

Here is another:

Would you trade Rasho for Shaq?

kskonn
12-28-2004, 11:19 AM
I think at this point in shaqs carreer it would be tough to spend that kind of money. Obviously w/out contract issues in mind I think it would be great and the spurs would have the opportunity to win the next few championship with duncan and shaq on the team. However with contractual issues involved I would not trade for shaq. I feel for the players we would have to trade, the spurs would be losing overall value and youth and be jeopardizing their long term goals.

Why are people talking about who would you rather have Parker or Wade? If it ain't broke, why fix it? Parker is not who you all should be considering a trade for or comparing. He isn't the weakest link on the Spurs team, that belongs to Rasho.
