Brett Favre, after living a full life, died. When he got to heaven, God
was showing him around. They came to a modest little house with a faded
Packers'
flag in the window.

"This house is yours for eternity, Brett," said God. "This is very
special; not everyone gets a house up here."

Brett felt special, indeed, and walked up to his house.

On his way up the porch, he noticed another house just around the
corner. It was a 3-story mansion with a blue and silver sidewalk, a 50
foot tall flagpole with an enormous Dallas Cowboys' flag, and in every
window a Cowboys silver star.

Brett looked at God and said, "God, I'm not trying to be ungrateful, but
I have a question. I was an all-pro QB, I won 2 Super Bowls, and I even
went to the Hall of Fame."

God said, "So what do you want to know, Brett?"

"Well, why does Tony Romo get a better house than me?"

God chuckled and said, "Brett, that's not Tony Romo's house; it's mine."

On his way up the porch, he noticed another house just around the
corner. It was a 3-story mansion with a steel blue and battle red sidewalk, a 50
foot tall flagpole with an enormous Houston Texans' flag, and in every
window a Texan logo.

Brett looked at God and said, "God, I'm not trying to be ungrateful, but
I have a question. I was an all-pro QB, I won 2 Super Bowls, and I even

Favre has won 1 SB, and that number isn't climbing any higher.

It's pretty obvious that God isn't a Texans fan.

How is that injury to Schaub's interception-throwing arm going?

Someone should write one of these about Belichick going to hell and being forced play against the '07 Dolphins for eternity and lose to them every time.

It's a good joke but it fails a little because Romo ain't done shit besides chode bloas everyone he's played but the Patriots. But it works. Romo gets some rings and this joke is good.

If God is a Texans fan, he has an odd way of showing it.

I was showing the absurdity of the joke by inserting a mediocre team into the equation.

I think you missed the point. The whole reason the joke works is because Romo hasn't done shit yet. That was Farve's question. "I've done all this, and he hasn't done jack, so why is his house better than mine". Joke wouldn't make sense if Romo had 5 rings. Jesus, you got me analyzing jokes now. Thanks.

Come on guys, the nice crib decked out in all sorts of Cowboy regalia, the hole in Texas Stadium.... I thought it was common knowledge and universally accepted that God is a die hard Cowboy fan.

btw my bad, I just cut and pasted without noticing the Brett's 2 superbowl error. And as a previous poster noted he only had 1 and that's about as close as he's gonna get.

"Well, why does Matt Schaub get a better house than me?"

God chuckled and said, "Brett, that's not Matt Schaub's house; it's mine."

That might've been just a tad bit funny if Matt Shaub can prove he can play an entire season without hurting his hymen.
