In another thread, a few people mentioned that Gino wouldn't be playing as well. Is this true?
I think if the Spurs are only missing Timmy, they have a great shot at speeding the game up and dominating the fast break. They just need to rebound well...maybe start both Oberto and Elson.
With Gino:
Spurs 111
Mavs 105
Without:
I don't even want to think about it. :(

vBookie is a SpursTalk.com feature that allows members to make bets on any number of events. From basketball to politics, there will be wagers on it all. Though the money might not be real, the bragging rights sure are.

If Duncan were playing I feel like we'd win this one without a doubt. We are at home and have lost 4 straight to the Mavs, we're due.

No such thing as being "due". You lose consistently at home to the Mavs because the Mavs match up extremely well with the Spurs. It could happen 10 times in a row and the Spurs wouldn't be any more likely to win the 11th.
I actually think the Spurs have a better chance of winning now that Duncan's out. The Mavs have the Spurs number. Without Duncan, the Spurs will have to play a different kind of ball that the Mavs' won't be accustomed to seeing from them.

Is hard to bet agaist the spurs, but without Timy, and Manu with a sore hand... 2/1 odds are too nice to pass...

I have a feeling that after this I'm going to wish I bet more money. I see it as a win-win situation.
If the Mavs win (and I expect that without TD and Manu, they will, though you never know. . .), then I get lotsa vbookie. That = good. If the Mavs lose, then the Spurs win. That = good on three levels: Spurs win! Mavs lose! Spurs win while down a man or two! Sweet!!
So if the Spurs pull it off, I'll happily be $500 vbookie poorer. And if not, well, vbookie will console me to sleep (and Nyquil. I hate being sick).
Oh, right - score

I have to pass tonight. I only have $500 left in my Vbookie and with no Duncan there's a 45% chance they can beat the Mavs tonight because they will concentrate more on Parker. Horry & Manu if they play are not 100% so there's chance I lose again.
Pass. I don't really want to pray on winning my vBookie, I'd rather pray the Spurs win instead even if I know it will be hard. Who knows?

I hate betting against the Spurs but the Mavs have won 11 of the last 15 or something like that. Without Duncan and possibly a limited Ginobli doesn't bode well for the Spurs.
I'd like to be wrong though.
