I wonder if it pisses suns fans off that they are ranked below 2 teams from the East?

Eh, I can see Boston, but I know that we'd destroy Orlando if we ever played them in a series.

the east teams should not even be in the top 10.....I would like to see the celts up against the top 5 teams in the west. The would prob lose 5 out of 5!!

It bugs me that despite an equal overall record and a 2-0 vs. record with Orlando, that Phoenix is ranked two spots lower. That seems a good bit stupid.
But then again, so does my thinking it stupid in the first place.

?? Pistons phone in a clunker in a grudge match against a division rival, and move UP? That's insane.

Because Orlando is possibly a stronger team, especially in a 7 game series. Oh, and they play defense.

i think going for kidd would almost guarantee a 2 year window (if even that) for a championship. that opposed to the 6-7 year window y'all are currently sitting on.

yeah he is on the decline
his shoothing as reached a whole new level of shit this year, but he's actually averaging career highs in rebounding and almost in helpers too... but THE injury that takes him a couple notches down is right around the corner.

Fuck how the hell did we crack the top five? I don't like this, we need a losing streak.

I still don't understand how he puts Orlando ahead of Boston. Just makes no sense.

Orlando did beat Boston, and the Celtics have had an incredibly easy schedule. Their record is weighted.

Nope - that was a terrible loss to a 2-15 team... that pisses me off more than Stein giving the Suns a hard time in the rankings.
Every year, the Suns lose to Minnesota once... I just thought that might change this year since they are the worst team in the league.

who cares? isn't a sign of a great team beating the bad to average ones? Orlando simply do not deserve to be 2nd with a 16-5 record.
such a joke

I like this, they should all be posted at the same time. That way people could either pick the one they like the most and be happy or pick the one they like the least and rant away.
Sadly for me, none make me happy. :depressed

Only in power rankings logic can an 0-2 record vs. a team be discounted.
Suns are 2-0 vs. the Magic this year. With identical records, how exactly are the Magic two spots higher?
I think I'm more pissed about being pissed than I am actually pissed about the rankings, but damn, that makes ZERO sense.

These two make much more sense than does ESPN's. Even though the Magic beat the Celtics, Boston has the better record overall, so it equalizes the head-to-head matchup's loss. If the Magic had a two or three win record better than the Suns I wouldn't have any issue with them being ranked ahead. But how are Orlando's 16 wins and 5 losses better than Phoenix's 16 wins and 5 losses when the Suns are 2-0 against Orlando?
Again, I can't believe I'm making a third post on the topic. Curse these GD power rankings!!!

Don't power rankings go on a week-by-week basis? The Suns just lost one and the Celts are on a 6-game streak. It makes more sense if you look at it that way.
Edit: Whoops didn't realize you were talking about the Magic. Eh, both teams have two losses last week if I remember correctly, so it probably depends on the degree of the loss, and the opponent. If both of those cancel out, there's no reason to move either team because that's how the rankings were last week. You should be complaining about last week :blah

We were prepared to move the Spurs down after losing to the Mavs and/or Jazz without Tim Duncan. Then they went and beat them both.

Rashard Lewis is an awful defender than at the four, and despite his overall beastlyness, Dwight Howard still isn't an elite man on defender. Judging by the two games we've played this year, I really don't see a Suns v. Magic series as being competitive.

The Lakers are going to be making the same argument about the Suns come Christmas.
Who says Power Rankings have to be based solely on Wins/Losses?

Because the Lakers have such a great history of success against Phoenix in the playoffs. Apples and oranges my dude.
