Spurs could easily win the 2008 NBA Championship.

Is this the year of the repeat?

too early in the season to really get a good prediction, but i do believe it is.

Manu is becoming MORE explosive, Tony is showing a lot of improvement, Tim Duncan is still Tim Duncan and our role players are doing a good job. Once again defense will be the deciding factor on if we win again.

the team seems tight this year. everyone is showing some improvement and most importantly they are playing like they want to win every game. we have had a pretty lax schedual with lots of time off, but i think that we will be extremely competitive the entire year.

Hopefully, it's the second year of the threepeat. (Or fourpeat.)

I don't know if Manu can sustain this intensity for an entire season+post-season. I would like him to look into Horrying his way through most of Jan-Feb and get his legs back by the end of the season.

Glad to know you still have your basic math skills. At least that Grade school education wasn't a complete waste.

Is anyone else worried that the Spurs are peaking too early?

Usually this team isn't at the top of their game until the rodeo road trip arrives.

defense isn't anywhere near like the what the team had near the end of the regular season last year. and they've been sleepwalking through some games. that was why we got ambushed in sacramento and nearly lost a few games against mediocre teams.

Did you ever think that they are not peaked yet?

Scarry for the rest of the NBA, huh?

It's scary that the Spurs are off to such a good start and haven't yet returned to the level they were playing at in last season's playoffs. The rest of the NBA should be scurred.

I espect the Spurs to keep improving on D and slow down a litle bit in the Offensive end.
Back to Back Championships is not an imposible mission.
Believe.

I don't think he necessarily has to go Robert Horry. I think a lot of what's helped Ginobili was his improvement of his 3 point shooting, and jumper in preserving his legs.
If he can rely on that then he'll be on a good pace without having to sacrifice consistency.

I have an inkling that maybe he's just elevated his game a little bit.

They still kind of suck on D.
This Spurs team has the potential to be historic hopefully.

with all the talk about last year's finals and how it was tainted, i sometimes wondered at the beginning of the season if Pop would go Scarface on the rest of the league. and the Kings game happened. then i knew we were fine. :spin
