View Full Version : Why can't the Spurs play after rest?

Now I may be wrong here, and I can't be bothered to do any research, but it seems to me that when the Spurs get a good rest they often lose the first game back. A perfect example of this is the first game of the playoffs 4 out of the last 5 years. The starters rest up for a week or so, then lose the first game. Today they were on 4 days of rest and should have been sharp but instead looked like DLeaguers.

Discuss.

yep, it happens, they come out foggy, no energy. But you'd have to compare vs other teams' performance after 3,4 days off.

when it matters it won;t happen.... in 2005 and 2007 more than a week passed before the first game and we won both...

Spurs are like my grandma ... she needs time to start, and after a good rest, she couldn't walk for a while ...

Spurs? ... we are an old team, period.

They become soft, like their surroundings.
