View Full Version : Trade Bruce

Jimcs50

Bruce is shooting a miserable 9% in the last 3 games. I guess he is the one Spur most dependant on having TD on the floor to be an NBA quality player.

I think it is time to get another small forward, as it is all too obvious that Bruce is done.

Actually I think it speaks pretty clearly to Bruce's ego more than his talent. He wants the DPOY award so badly and he knows he's not going to ever see it if his offense keeps overshadowing his D so much. This way the voters will have to sit up and take notice. "This guy's shooting in the single digit percent range and he's still starting? He must be a hell of a defender," the voters will say. So Bruce bricks some shots, not giving a shit about the good of the team. You are right to say trade him, but for entirely different reasons.

How is his back Kori?

Bruce Bowen is clearly the most lazy player on the spurs... have you ever seen him on offense? He just stands around on the corner waiting for that perfect feed from duncan...total product of the system.... he has been exposed. Psst, get this selfish bastard out of here.

9% of his shots? Truly despicable, anyone that shoots that poorly over 3 games is clearly destined to do so for the rest of his career.

I'm so glad pop has all of us here on spurs talk to think of all these things, because otherwise his 17-4 record this season would trick him later

thank you spurs dynasty for making this thread possible

Clearly the people who have posted in this thread understand NOTHING of the Spurs style and philosophy.

LOL at anyone calling Bowen the laziest player. How many games has he played consecutively? Oh yeah, more than ANY OTHER PLAYER IN THE NBA. And he works hard out there, night in and night out, hounding the other team's best player. He wasn't brought in here for offense.

maybe its the fact that there are so many dumb people making legit threads like this after every loss that everyone is preconditioned to think we're being serious

I was amused and half-way alarmed to watch Bruce roll to the hoop and chuck up a left-handed fingeroll in the recent GS loss. Of course, he missed it.

I remember thinking, "so you wait until you're 36 years old to start imitating George Gervin?" Are you kidding me? Stand in the corner and fire away those 3-pointers.

Any update whether Timmy can play Thursday?

All I've seen so far:

"In fact, Popovich said it is doubtful Duncan will play against the Los Angeles Lakers on Thursday.

“He's probably doubtful for L.A.,” he said, “and we hope he will be likely for Saturday's game (against the Denver Nuggets at the AT&T Center).

“I just think he's not 100 percent, that's for sure. This early in the season, I'm not sure what the wisdom is in playing him when he's 75 or 80 percent.”

trade bruce? what has happened to you people? he has slowed down roy, bryant,d-will et al, then you'll trade him? i'd rather have him shooting 0% and bedevil the other team's best player every night. that's his role in this team.

Nop, T-Mac sould be a negative influence for our team spirit, besides he never go far in playoffs.

For sure with T-mac we would sale more shoes and jerseys :greedy
