Mike Monroe: Rastaman vibrations
Oh, that wacky Gregg Popovich.
It seems the Spurs coaches went for a group bicycle ride in Santa Monica after the team arrived there on Wednesday afternoon. Their route took them past a shop that was selling, among other things, "Rastafarian" hats, of the sort favored by legendary reggae artist Bob Marley. Popovich couldn't resist. He and the rest of the coaches bought various versions of the brightly colored hats, and after the Spurs players boarded the bus for their morning shootaround at Santa Monica High School, the coaches boarded the bus wearing the hats.
Popovich's hat featured fake dreadlocks. You'll have to use your imagination, but taky my word for it: it was quite a sight.
