Although Parker is out, the Spurs have the ability to beat the Suns without him. It's going to be more difficult since Nash can actually defend Vaughn unlike Parker, which will make things easier for him all around.

Should be a fun game to watch either way. The Suns are playing as if it's the playoffs already. The Spurs have messed around find themselves with the best record in the Western Conference.

Robert Horry should give a hard foul just to remind the Suns of what happened last year.

Should we expect to see a lot of Bruce on Nash tonight, or more so on Marion?

I'm thinking Nash, since he's the engine for that team.

Im thinkin Udoka might see some time.

Horry definately will.

Hopefully Oberto can have another good game. Elson not playing is gonna hurt.

Duncan should absolutely have ahuge game with no Kurt THomas and no one to guard him anymore.

Some Suns forums are saying Skinner should cancel out Oberto and that his D will take Duncan by "surprise"

I wouldn't be surprised if he's not dominant, certainly Sat night didn't move him in that direction.

You actually think the Suns have been playing like it is the playoffs?? I don't think you have watched them play. They have been playing lazy and just coasting and thinking they can turn it on in an instant. For the record, Parker and Nash don't guard each other, not just Nash not guarding Parker. Bowen guards Nash and Nash guards Bowen, it you call what Nash does guarding. :)

Jeff McDonald: No Tony, No Cisco
As expected Tony Parker and Francisco Elson will miss tonight's game against Phoenix with various degrees of ankle trouble. Gregg Popovich confirmed the news in his pre-game pow-wow with reporters.

Parker's status was evident when he was spotted wandering the halls of the arena less than an hour before tipoff, still in street clothes.

It's kind of a shame for the Spurs. The Suns, with their up-and-down offensive style and penchant for apathy on defense, have always been one of Parker's favorite opponents to play. An athletic big man like Elson also is not without his uses against an up tempo team like Phoenix.

Popovich says Parker is almost certain to also miss the Spurs' next game, Wednesday at Memphis, but could return Saturday at home against the Los Angeles Clippers. Elson, meanwhile, will remain a day-to-day decision throughout the week.

I especially loved the whining about how Stern could have changed the rule for the 'good of the league and the good of the series' - and yet when Stern proposed changing the rule for the owners to vote on it, it failed resoundingly.

But, clearly, it would have been for the good of the league.

He's been having problems with his neck, back, and shoulder recently (due to his "spondy"--the spine problem he suffers from).

Nash's fantasy line is weak right now, but that's OK - I have enough scorers on my team. I'm more pissed when Barbosa jacks up 3 shots in a row after his teammates have been playing decent D at the other end and getting a few stops.

Fun game - I wish fans in US Airways would get this pumped up... but maybe they will when the Spurs come to town. I'll admit that Mavs-Spurs game was pretty good earlier this year, but this game is pretty damn intense. Duncan plays hard against the Suns all the time.
