This was the most exciting regular season game I've seen in years, easily. No one's at fault (except the Spurs the first 36 minutes of the game). The Spurs showed championship heart and Rudy hit the shot of his fuckin life.

Props Rudy.

the Spurs are simply a team who lacks the "killer instinct", right now.

their recent loses were decided by just a 5 pts or less:

vs. Suns - they were ahead by a pt, 1.37 min left in regulation. lost by 5 pts

vs. Lakers lost just by 5 pts.

vs. Memphis lost by 3pts compliments of Gay's 3ptr over Duncan as time expired.

Sad.

I don't want to think Pop simply coasting recently bec he doesn't want to coach (again) the ASG. For the first time I'm giving the players a benefit of a doubt over these loses. I'd give :( this to the coach. Against the Suns & tonight, where's that best last 2 min(20-0) 3pt defense we had in the 2005 playoffs? This is almost the same Spurs team, right?

People that think Pop is having them lose on purpose so he can avoid coaching the ASG is ridiculous and oscene. A tough loss tonight but you can't expect to lose less than 20 times per season.

Yes.

There's no reason for him to be playing over Horry during crunch time in the playoffs though.

its not so much as him playing in place of Horry, but him taking a shot at a crucial juncture of a game.
