Clippers' Tim Thomas, Spurs' Manu Ginobili leave game with injuries

December 22, 2007

SAN ANTONIO (AP) -- Clippers forward Tim Thomas and Spurs guard Manu Ginobili were injured during the first quarter of their game Saturday night.

Thomas fell to the ground and was in obvious pain after appearing to get tripped up by another Los Angeles player. It was unclear what Thomas hurt, but he was helped off the floor with 6:38 to play in the first.

Thomas was averaging 13.1 points and 5.4 rebounds heading into the game against San Antonio. He missed the Clippers' Dec. 16 game against the Los Angeles Lakers with a sprained right ankle.

With about 4 1/2 minutes to go in the first, Ginobili grabbed his left hand and left the court. Ginobili is averaging 20 points for San Antonio.
