Do ya'll know any remedies besides the obvious? I've taken some strong pain medicines for this and it will not go away. It's been like this for at least 2 days now. I drank a lot of water thinking I might be dehydrated.. http://spurstalk.com/forums/images/smilies/smchode.gif haha, please tell me there's something else that'll make it stop!!!!!

Is it from a hangover??

Actually this morning it may be. I was drinking last night and that was about the only time my head wasn't hurting. But it's been like this over 2 days and I wasn't drinking before... I should just drink more. :lol

If it's a migraine try a dark, quiet room with a cold towel over your eyes.

For about how long? I've tried the dark/quiet room but without a cold towel..

Ask boutons:

http://spurstalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=83590 :

— Pain management. Forgo popping a pain killer and opt for something a bit more “au naturel.” Sex has been shown to offer migraine and menstrual cramp relief, as well as alleviate chronic back pain thanks to the endorphins and corticosteroids released during sexual arousal and orgasm.

If it's a migraine it could take hours.
Are you nausous? Sensitive to light? Smell? Those are some ways to tell if it's a migraine. If it is, sometimes you can beat it if you go down long enough. Otherwise it can build and you may need meds that aren't OTC.

For me?

http://z.about.com/d/alcoholism/1/0/2/v/1/marijuana11.jpg

for you..................

http://faqs.org/faqs/medicine/migraine/natural-cures/

-- Have a bath or shower.
-- Lie down to rest in a dark room.
-- Avoid bright or flashing light.
-- Put something cold on the back of your neck, such as
a cold, wet cloth; or alternate hot and cold cloths
where the pain is.
-- Put a cold compress on your forehead and your feet in a
container of warm water.
-- Have a drink of water or natural juice, especially tomato juice.
-- Have some food, or a nutritious drink, if you
haven't eaten for a while.
-- Massage your own face, head, neck and shoulders, or get someone
else to do those and your back. Relax your muscles.
-- Press on two pressure points at the back of the neck. These
points are about two inches apart, just below the base of
the skull. Press for a minute or two. This releases
endorphins that help against pain.
-- Massage or press on the fleshy area between thumb and
forefinger.
-- Gently lean the head to left or right to stretch the neck muscles.
Massage and relax any tense muscles.
-- Avoid sources of stress. Cancel activities so there's less
to worry about.
-- Avoid exercise during a headache if it makes throbbing pain
in the head and neck worse. On
the other hand, generally exercise improves health, and
it may help you relax during a headache.
-- Take some niacin (a form of vitamin B3). Taking enough
niacin to cause a flush (blood rushing to the skin) can
provide relief from headache pain, but this much niacin
can also have side effects (flush, nausea, heartburn,
liver damage, etc.) Niacinamide doesn't have such bad
side effects, but isn't as much use against migraines, either.
Smaller, safer amounts of niacin are also helpful.
Niacin can trigger a migraine, though.
-- Take some vitamin C, vitamin B6, choline, tryptophan and niacin
and/or magnesium.

No, I don't think I will be asking boutons anything about that.

If it's been going on for two days and NSAIDs and/or aspirin don't seem to help, I'd consider going to see somebody about it.

Although if you felt well enough to go out drinking, it's probably not something like a migraine.

Did you recently turn on your heater?

Try a hit of BC powder and a bowl of Menudo to knock out anything!

Try sprinkling a couple drops of water on a hand towel, microwaving it for 30 seconds and wrapping it around your neck. The warmth has helped with my tension headaches. Just make sure the towel you microwave has no plastic thread or anything.

I didn't see anyone mention caffeine. Drink a strong cup of coffee with a BC powder or a couple of aleve & toss in a decongestant. Today after I got a killer migraine, I took Zomig, Naprelan, drank a coca cola, took Lodrane (decongestant) and even took two percocet and a long hot shower and still it raged on. Finally hubby gave me a strong cuppa joe. That finally did the trick. I'm functioning now but I probably won't be 100% until tomorrow.

Well I was gonna say that a pseudofed (decongestant) might help; I've found that persistant headaches are usually sinus related, if you don't have a history of migraines.

There are pressure points on the body that can be worked/massaged in order to alleviate all aches and pains. I can guaranty I'll get rid of that headache, but you'll need to get semi-nude and spend about 2 hours with me.
