The Los Angeles Lakers have made more overtures about acquiring Jason Kidd, but the New Jersey Nets weren't interested in the offer, according to the New York Post.

The Lakers reportedly offered Kwame Brown and his expiring $9 million contract, Jordan Farmar, Sasha Vujacic, Chris Mihm and a No. 1 draft pick. The Lakers weren't willing to make Lamar Odom part of the deal, just as they wouldn't give up Andrew Bynum when the Lakers tried to acquire Kidd last season.

The Denver Nuggets, reportedly offering Marcus Camby and draft picks, are considered the front-runners if Kidd is dealt.

:smokin Nuggets sure do need a PG.

Kidd/Ai/Melo/Kmart/Nene ........... :drunk nice starting 5 as long as not too much of the bench is given up coz we all know that a team doesnt win much without a decent bench.

Steve Blake?! :lol Comeon Tpark......... what did he do last season to help the Nuggets in the playoffs?

The Nuggets have an old fella in Carter doing a similar job at a much cheaper price.

Blake was nice and is nice for Portland but he wasn't worth the extra tax implications for the Nuggets.

The team has been struggling but is still 16-11 and is missing 2 of their big men. Nene comes back tonight. Nuggets have no low post presence without him.
