That was one nice block by Marcus.
Can't really tell anything about him tonight since he only like 1 1/2 minutes but at least he had one positive.

Spurs 1st West team to get 20 wins. Yah!

2007 20-7
2006 20-7
2005 21-6

"Spurs 1st West team to get 20 wins"

Same as last year, had best record in NBA at 20-6, then they went 13-12 for Dec-Feb.

Preaching to the choir. Guess I don't give a shit about the regular season anymore... the Spurs have been playing for May and June since the mid 1990's.

Still nice to see even in coast mode, the Spurs are the best team in the stronger conference.

20th WIN!!! GO SPURS GO!!!

Like the great defense and good shooting that he showed tonight?

This is finally udoka's chance to shine, and hes gonna prove to be a damn diamond.

You'll think he is when he shuts down Josh Howard in the playoffs and the Spurs beat the Mavericks, thanks to him being the missing small ball piece.

The Mavs have to get by the Warriors and the Lakers first.

Udoka will not shut down Howard

he'll shut down Stackhouse, but not Howard

Bowen can't even shut down Howard consistently.

you act like Howard is Kobe Bryant. Howard ain't shit one on one. He is only as good as a wide open jumper takes him.

he isn't kobe bryant but he kills us everytime. I'm not saying he goes off for 40, but somehow I don't think Udoka is our answer to Howard and keeping him off the boards.

You could argue that Howard is the most complete/versatile player on the Mavs.

Don't get me wrong, I want Udoka to succeed as much as the next guy, and he looked good tonight, but let's not get carried away so fast.

Udoka can handle Howard easily. Did you not watch him tonight? WWHD?

Jason Terry scares me more than he does.

Yeah, because, his defense is a flash in the pain as well as his shot......

Your such a pessimistic sad sack its sad.

Amuseddaysleeper

flash in the pain?

I am no more pessimistic than you were in 2005, don't worry

Howard >>> Terry

I know Udoka is being groomed to being our next Bowen but to make claims that he would hit that level by the end of this season alone is reaching a bit.

This BTW, is the same Josh Howard who, in the game here in SA, Michael Finley defended well!??!

bwahahahaha

dude, Howard shot 58% from the field in that game, and was one rebound away from a double double

http://scores.espn.go.com/nba/boxscore?gameId=271205024

If that's Finley defending him well, I'd hate to see what happens when he has an off night defensively.

Howard has ALWAYS been a thorn in our side, and unlike Nowitzki, when Howard's shot is off he can contribute in so many other ways.

Is he a top 5 player in the league? No

Can Udoka perhaps make it slightly tougher on him than Brent Barry would? Yeah, but once again, let's not count our eggs before they hatch. For all we know Udoka could go back to the bench once Manu returns.

And of all the games to make Howard look bad you had to use the one where he goes 7/12 along with 9 boards and 3 assists

really?

oh I didn't watch the game T Park, I simply pulled those stats out of thin air

give me a break, while Finley may have defended a shot or two well against Howard, you are really over reaching.

You're also a huge hypocrite giving me shit for that Church of Elson thread made in jest, while today you're saying "I know I cringed when Elson came in"

By the way, I watched that Mavs/Spurs game too, and ask anyone who was the best Mav on the floor that night and you'll only get one answer.

Josh Howard.

Totally uncomfortable the whole time, but still had a good time.

I personally thought Jason terry played better, due to actually SHOWING UP in the second half.
