View Full Version : Chris Paul's insane statline: 12-26

40 points, 9 assists, 5 rebounds, 5 steals, ONE turnover...

on 17-25 shooting, 5-8 downtown, just one free throw. Eat your heart out, Kobe. :lol

Make your cases for Kidd or Nash. Chris Paul is the best in the league at the 1 position right now. He doesn't need another season.

Who's better at the guard position right now in the entire league?

That's kinda scary to think about.

I'd trade half of the Kings for him but they have 2 of our ex-players, they probably wouldn't want anymore.

well kidd has been exposed to have no offensive game, nothing but a statpadder which means nothing, when you dont equate that performance to a team win.

5 steals tonight. 9 assists. When was the last time Kobe had a night of 9/5 with 40 points?

In 36 minutes?

On nearly 70% shooting? *snicker*

I bet Kobe hasn't shot 70% all year and scored over 30 points at the same time.

Feel free to look Mr. 44% from the field up to see how he's faring.

Besides, I didn't say that Paul was better overall than Kobe. I said WHOS PLAYING BETTER NOW.

Read my post next time, thanks. And get your head out of Kobe's colon so you can objectively respond to posts.

Btw, that "shitty" Center the Lakers have that Kobe was up in arms about how lost and clueless he was seems to be doing okay.

Kobe's BBIQ remains mired somewhere between Forrest Gump and George W. Bush Jr.

I still take Deron Williams over him -assuming both got the same contract. But that comes out as preference, not really based on merit. :)

Given Paul's performance as of late, he's pretty much sewn up one of the reserve guard slots on the Western All-Star Team...

Chris Paul has a perfect mix between the pure PG ability and efficiency of guys like Deron Williams and Steve Nash, the scoring ability of PGs like Allen Iverson and Baron Davis, and has the all around ability (such as defense and rebounding) of guys like Jason Kidd. He is by far the best all around PG in the league, and is among the top 5, possibly top 3 (alongside Lebron and Kobe) in all-around ability players in the league, IMO.

Wow, you just like arguing with me, don't you? :lol

Let's see, the Hornets and Lakers have the exact same record. Do you think Mo Pete, Peja, West, and Chandler are as good as Bynum, Odom, Fisher, and Walton? Mind you, the Hornets have NO bench. Their best bench player is a guy by the name of Rasual Butler, a guy who averages 6.3 and 2.1 per game.

Paul's last 10 games before last night:

19 points, 15 assists, 2 boards, 5 steals
21 points, 15 assists, 3 boards, 4 steals
11 points, 8 assists, 4 boards, 3 steals
21 points, 10 assists, 2 boards, 2 steals
22 points, 3 assists, 3 boards, 1 steal
30 points, 12 assists, 4 boards, 1 steal
29 points, 10 assists, 0 boards, 2 steals
43 points, 9 assists, 5 boards, 4 steals
14 points, 7 assists, 3 boards, 2 steals
33 points, 12 assists, 9 boards, 3 steals.

Maybe you should watch Paul play before you start to offer counterpoints.

By the way, he's shooting over 50% in that span. So over the past 11 games his averages are: 25.7 ppg, 10 apg (his season avg, btw), almost 4 rpg and 3 spg, on 50% shooting and 2.5 turnovers.

Wow, yeah, you're right. Just one game. You sure showed me! :lol

How much success would Duncan have in the playoffs when his only other real threat is Peja?

I mean, seriously, they're 18-10 and have NO one on that team outside of Paul and Peja.

You're right, Tyson is very decent on D, but Chandler isn't a huge offensive force. Peja and Paul are the only real offensive threats, and yet this team continues to produce and win.

Yes 1 game...a game that's transcendent of greatness....not some bs of averaging 19 and 10....big deal......Let's see him get 4 50 point games or average 40 per game for an entire month.....as you say Cry Havoc, he's got no one on his team....right.....he's got more allstar teammates than Kobe.........

He's a point guard. And he actually passes the ball. He's 22 and is leading his team to a fantastic record.

He'll probably never average the sheer number of points that Kobe does. But who cares about individual statlines? You know, aside from you OMG 81 POINTS OMG fans.

David West is still playing for them, right ? And Mo Pete seems rejuvenated in his new role as a staring SG for his new team. I think NO Hornets are the up and coming team, and no denial on my part that CP3 is a true franchise player for them.

He's solid. I don't know if I'd consider him a number 2 guy on a franchise. He's more of a really good role player.
