Tonight I saw Jacque Vaughn at the Taco Bell at 1604 & 281! He was with his wife and 2 toddlers, doing the doting dad thing: Taking off/putting on their coats, retrieving high chairs, fetching sodas, etc. I came face to face with him at the "spork" dispenser, so I said hi and he smiled and said hi back. Very nice.

Never had it. I go to TacoBell for one reason only----Diet Pepsi; I don't venture too deeply into their menu!

I once saw Nick Van Exel driving through the taco bell drive-thru on I-10 and DeZavala in his blue bentley...Does Nick Van Exel at Taco Bell surprise anyone?

LMAO that everybody is surprised that a Spurs player would eat at Taco Bell.

You realize their money buys the same things ours does, right? They just have more of it.

Nice one.

I saw the captain of the Australian cricket team (=God over here!), Ricky Ponting, on the street in Melbourne the other day with his wife. I gave him a :tu and said, "good on ya, Ricky!", and he replied with a sheepish grin. It was cool.

Why the hell would you eat Taco Bell when you have Taco Cabana??? :hungry:

Variety.

I personally don't care for Taco Bell, but in Vaughn's defense - when you have little kids these are the kinds of places you are relegated to picking up food no matter how much money you have.

Not at all. He applied for an opening at a Houston-area Taco Bell, but they turned him down because management deemed him to be past his prime. :lol

They were also afraid he was going to chuck food at the customers 8 seconds into the clock.

Cool! I live on the northside and have never run into any of the players despite several of them being seen at grocery stores and restuarants in the 1604 and 281 area... I'm always on the lookout... Think it's great that they can be out and about in San Antonio without people bothering them.

Just keep your eyes open! I've seen Tony at Whataburger and Le Peep; I talked with George Gervin at Whataburger; I've seen Eva at HEB several times and my son met Bruce there at the deli buying an Icee!
