Tim Duncan with a monster night - 24 points on 50% shooting after a poor start, 17 boards, 7 assists, 1 steal, 3 blocks. 5 TOs excused because he controlled the action so much, especially in the second half.

Finley continues his hot play: 22 points on 8-12 shooting, pretty solid defense, SEVEN rebounds! :clap

After the Griz started shooting 75% for the first quarter, we held them to 45% the entire game. After allowing 12 FGs in the first quarter, with a combination of hot shooting and poor defense, the Spurs locked down, and I mean LOCKED DOWN. The result?

The Griz hit 21 FGs the entire rest of the way, in the 2-4th quarters. 7 FGs per quarter is Spurs playoff-type defense.

Bonner was clutch - great defense (for Bonner), 5-8, a big and 1, 18 points.

Horry 0-3. Ugh. Let's move on.

Spurs outrebound the Griz 46-32. NO one on the Griz gets more than 5 boards for the game. Boxing out helps, period!

Gay held to 6-13 shooting for 16 points. No Gay 3s at the end of this one! :lol

However.

The statline of the game goes to Tony Parker.

6-12 shooting (ok)
Only 1 3 pointer attempted. :clap
4 rebounds (fine)
24 points (Good!)
9 assists (Yeah baby!)
And....
12-12 at the line! (WOOOOO!)
Sounds like he took last game as a point to improve upon.

Spurs shoot 81.5% at the line for the game.

Meanwhile, the Griz clank for 17-29 at the line.

I agree. What was his deal? Why was he playing so much? Were they planning on losing this game before starting? He disappointed me, even if it is only December.

Horry played 16 minutes. Not unheard of, especially when we've got three players sitting with injuries. Barry and Manu were both riding the pine, and Elson isn't 100% yet.

Some minutes are permissible and necessary. It just felt endless because he didn't play in playoff form, to me at least.

Horry actually started second half and rotated well. Played good defense but picked up some fouls in the process. He helped a little to alter the game. There is no stat about.

In the last 6 games:

47% fg
41% 3pt
64% ft
18.6 ppg
6.5 rpg
2.8 apg
1 tpg

Fin's been playing nicely with only his ft shooting being crappy.
