View Full Version : Dwight "fluke" Howard with his third straight 20+ rebound game

Lord, this kid is incredible. He couldn't get involved offensively at all today, and still managed to have a huge impact on the game at the defensive end. His prescence had the Bulls second guessing and throwing up bad shots, and he really made some nice plays defensively (stealing the ball from Ben Gordon down two with under a minute left).

Now averaging 22.9 PPG, 15.5 RPG, and 2.8 BPG this season. 15.5 RPG, people... It's been a while since we've seen such dominant board work. Ben Wallace did it once, but he's a completely one dimensional player that can't score the ball like Dwight.

Dwight Howard is just trying to shoot some shots. No surprises there.

Who was better, the young Dwight Howard or the young Shaq? My vote is for Shaq, but its pretty close.

That is a bullshit stat. If he wasn't 6-11 and 280 pounds and really fucking athletic, no way would he be getting that many 20 rebound games. Such a fluke stat.

How many rings does George Gervin have? Oh... he must have been a fluke too.

You're just trolling now, anyway.

The Magic seem to have problems with shooting guards. Wade drops 48 on them then Gordon scores 41 on them.

The young Shaq. No question.

You have to consider the competition. The young Shaq played in the greatest era for centers. Shaq, Mourning, Ewing, Robinson, Olajuwon, Smits, etc etc.

Now, I love this kid Howard. But he's playing against a host of stiffs.

Jesus Christ, what's with all of the hate against Howard. He plays great, is a humble guy and tries to win. What more do you guys want?

What does it take for you guys (you know who you are) to just enjoy a great new talent?

It's not so much a plural, "you guys" hate Howard as it is a singular, "that guy" hates Howard.

Shaq was better, mainly because of his incredibly immense size, but let me say this: Dwight Howard is already a better rebounder than Shaq ever was, and his work ethic blows Shaq's out of the water.

Athletically, Dwight Howard is more comparable to D-ROB in his early days.

David was versitle offensively and defensively. Still Howard shares more similarities with D-Rob than Shaq.

Howard just getting lucky missed shots bounce into his hands is how he's getting all these fluke rebounds is all.

Damn SpursDynasty is just a straight up troll now. At one time I thought he was the ultimate homer, but now it's plain pathetic.

It took Drob and MJ several years to get that first championship.

Dwight is a freak!

For the amount of hype Dwight Howard is getting, he should have at least gotten 1 championship in four seasons.

I don't see him getting a ring in his career.

Tim Duncan was 23 when he won his first title. He won his first 82-game title when he was 27. Howard just turned 22. What in the hell are you blabbering about?

Howard still has a lot of room to grow in terms of decision-making and maturity... and I have no doubt he will grow in those areas. And that scares me.

Dwight Howard is going to be a damn good center for a long time in this league. You should be happy, he's pretty much the next Tim Duncan/Shaq.

I agree with the poster who earlier stated that he's more like D-Rob than either Duncan or Shaq.

The Nets just went out and took care of business, did what they were supposed to do...no big deal.

You mean losing..not playing well is just a lame excuse.

Mavs just went out and beat an 8th seed they were supposed to beat, no surprises there.
