with the sheer number of big men that they can throw at TD, they can pretty much do that to anybody.

No prob. It's January. They did a good work last year but at the end in the playoffs TD was better than all that guys

who cares? I hope to be wrong but i'm sure Suns will win

Well actually, Josepatches, I haven't been the only person taking notice of this game tonight. Just making a statement.

TD is the only guy that can get a fucking rebound in the team.48-35 to Nuggets but maybe 30-0 when TD was in the bench. That was the key.

Fin did his part with 8 but no one else helped on the boards.

Duncan played a pretty terrible game. No adjustments to their defense, slow decisions, bouncing the ball off his foot, etc.

Parker decided to wait 2.5 quarters before trying. Finley and Bonner are the only ones who brought their game all night.

Our defense was outstanding for 46:30. However, in basketball, the object is to outscore your opponent, so we failed. Fuck.
parker is at +10 when he was on the court

You, Vinny, are a moron. Look at Duncan's stats again. Can you count? Do you know what numbers are?

Yeah.Because he played against the bench players when we were losing by 16.
Bowen is at +14 and Elson +7.Gives them the MVP too

That's true Fred. Pop's got too many role players that can't score worth a shite and create their own shot. Spurs offense is usually rubbish when the big 3 aren't all there and we aren't knocking down threes.

yup. i'd be worried if the spurs played well and still lose.

I won't lose any sleep over it.
They played like shit, it would have been a shock if they pulled it out.

What I don't like is that it was a Duncan TO that turned it the wrong way at the end. Watching him play bad is hard for me.

I feel your pain, but he always responds with a strong game after mistakes like that. Especially since we are playing the Knicks on a back to back.

Our two starting centers from last season have completely disappeared the last two weeks. They've done absolutely nothing. I'd have to say based on Oberto and Elson's play the past two weeks that both these guys are not earning their paycheck. They're almost overpaid ;)

They just showed the last 1:30 on TNT and Parker wasn't even close on Carter with that 3 pointer. And Bonner had a decent look but passed to Finley who really didn't have a good look at all. Terrible.

nope. denver played hard. spurs tried but they were just not in it mentally. too tentative. only finley made any decisive moves.

Of course. If he had been in the court he never could be +10.
He went to the court when we were losing by 16 to play against the bench players.Pop made that now because we didn't have Manu and we need someone to scores.
Don't care about that stats because it's not the same to play against bench or starters.Kenyon Martin is -6 but he was very important with 7 BLK

Oberto will be fine once the playoffs near.

Elson is a waste and nothing should be expected of him from here on out.

Something is mentally wrong with Parker. He plays like his mind is somewhere else. His decision to enter a Hollywood relationship and marriage is fucking his game up as I was afraid would happen.

You're really misusing the term "choke". This was not a choke by the Spurs in ANY way. Do you even know what that term means? :pctoss

We had the game and threw it away. We're the Spurs, we're supposed to execute in crunch time and we threw it away. We choked at the end. I'm not worried though. Like everyone said, January, no Manu or Barry, etc. May and June are all that matter.

We really might need to make a trade for a real NBA starting center. I don't know what's happened to Oberto, but he's not playing like a starter, and Elson isn't even playing like a second-stringer. Any ideas for a trade package?

Can we get Malik? :drunk

I'd like to give PJ Brown a call. I actually wanted the Spurs to take a look at him at the start of the season and see if he has anything left at all. I really wanted him over Rasho and I'm sure he would have listened too since the Spurs were interested in him before.

Would anyone else be interested in PJ? hmm maybe that's why the Bulls suck this season ;).

I hate PJ Brown for what he did in that Miami-Knicks series, but I respect his effort. He's always played hard. Don't think he's a starting center any more though.

I didn't mean to start, but he could be someone who can back up TD or play alongside him for 15-20 minutes a game because right now Elson and Oberto sure are doing a poor job of covering Tim's back. It really pisses me off that our centers aren't really helping TD out at all lately, they really need to step it up. No more messing around, time to get their asses into gear, otherwise I'll trade both for Scola ;)

I just heard AI's son had an accident. Does anyone know what it is?

His 4 year old fell off a high stool and landed on his face Monday. He had his hands in his shirt and couldn't brace for the fall. He needed plastic surgery and it appears he'll need more.
Iverson missed practice all week but said his son is okay.
