about 99.9% of websites related to anything I'm intrested in are blocked here at work (sports and women), I just heard Hideo Nomo signed with the Royals..can someone post the article if it's true. If it's not true I'm officially the most gullible person in the office today

Well according to the Royals ESPN board...


Japanese news outlets report today that the Royals have signed Hideo Nomo to a minor league contract with an invintation to spring training

It's a non-guaranteed Minor League deal. What's the risk?

Well, the Elarton deal was beyond bad. His arm was toast long before he got to KC.

But - after one year - nobody is complaining about Meche. 11/year is high, but it's not being "treated like a Hall of Famer" in today's market. Of the pitchers who signed big contracts last year, Meche performed as well as any of them (and better than most).
