Which team is the biggest pretender, trying to be in the same elite class as Boston, Detroit, and SA?

Orlando

They are a point guard and another big man away from being a serious contender.

without howard, the magic are nothing. they have an iffy point guard and their 2nd leading rebounder is hedo. he's doing as much, if not more, than their off-season max contract acquisition. and as the rockets has shown, control howard and the magic is toast. biggest disappointment for them will come 5 years from now when howard will be on his last year of his rookie contract and lewis near being paid out his. not much money to kick around by then. they can use the bird rights, of course, but its going to be a hell of a payroll.

portland could at least lay claim to winning 5 games without aldridge. and they still have yet to play a regular season game with oden.

putting denver or cleveland would make them easy choices that's why, i guess, they were not included.

then again, so is portland. blazers shouldn't have been on the list.

Portland is a better team then the Nuggets or Cavs.

if the nuggets had a better coach and less injuries ...

theyd be a contender.

their youth and inexperience excludes them until they prove themselves in the playoffs. but, so far, they are better than the nuggets and the cavs and even the jazz for that matter. no contest from this fan.

I still can't see why Magic Johnson said they were going to beat the Spurs in the opening round.

At least the other teams attempt to play something which resembles defense.

Boston is elite.
I was gong to rip you, and then I realized you were a Suns fan and have no earthly idea that NOTHING that happens in the regular season can make you elite. Cheers. :toast

Boston is a pretender IMO. its gonna be a choke in the second round. none of their 3 superstars are winners.
