If Pop goes back to GM would you be ok with AJ as Spurs head coach?

No, I Don't want to see AJ as Spurs Headcoach. I think he is one of the most overrated coaches in the League. And I think he's not the man that make the right decisions in important moments.

Don't sell yourself short dude! I always like to read what you have to say on these boards!

I could see the players getting fed up with his gumbo-filled rants at some point, and eventually tuning him out at a crucial moment. Say, the first round of the playoffs.

That would be the ultimate KARMA to have AJ coach the Spurs after all the criticisms he has received from this bean dip eating city!

AJ should have been coach after 99*

Did someone say bean dip? Where?

And "no thanks" on Avery as coach.

No. This team is veteran and doesn't need a "Screamer", something Pop hasn't been in probably 2-3 years.

AJ makes an ideal coach for a young and developing team seeking an identity ala the bulls under skiles 4 years ago. not so with a veteran squad.

I don't think Duncan will play for anyone but Pop.

No. I'm surprised the Mavs haven't turned on his angry, shrimpy ass

No. I think we'd be better off looking elsewhere.

Pop should prepare Jacque Vaughn for the reins.

No, he was outcoached in both the Miami and GS series completely.

=The reason AJ will make an excellent coach is the fact he is a Spur deep down inside. He also knows what it is like to play for the Spurs. And the truth is he is a leader!

he is the "little General"

also, he doesn't have to worry about Dirk choking in the playoffs anymore!= :lmao

AJ would make a lousy Spurs coach right now.

Mebbe after Duncan leaves, and if POP wants to do the GM thing. But, nobody on this Spurs team needs someone who loves to hear his own voice so much...and so loudly.

Pop will leave when Tim leaves, and thus only the hardcore Spur fans will be left.

We will take AJ.

No thank you...

I think AJ teaches his players to give cheap shots to other players...I don't think Tim/Manu/Tony/Bruce, etc would be willing to do that every night... :p:
