2007/2008 NBA Finals odds: Boston Celtics, Spurs and Suns favorite
The odds on winning the 2007/2008 NBA Championship have changed, Boston Celtics and San Antonio Spurs now favorite.

Following the Boston Celtics victory on the road against the Detroit Pistons, the odds makers were prompted to adjust the betting odds on the NBA Finals. At the online sportsbook Bodog Sports, the Boston Celtics are now the clear favorite to win the NBA Finals, listed with odds 6/5. The Detroit Pistons were quickly downgraded and the odds on the Pistons to win the NBA Finals are now sitting at 9/2. The most likely game we would see at the Finals, according to the bookmaker, is the matchup between the Boston Celtics and the San Antonio Spurs, who are listed with odds on winning the 2007/2008 NBA Championship of 7/2.

Following the Spurs come the Phoenix Suns with odds on winning the Finals posted at 4/1. Dallas Mavericks still failed to edge the Pistons and are trailing behind Detroit, the betting odds on the Mavericks to win the NBA Finals are posted at 5/1. The Los Angeles Lakers have though odds of 10/1 to win the Championship, behind them come the Denver Nuggets with odds 14/1 at Bodog Sports. The ultimate underdogs in the 2007/2008 NBA Finals remain the Minnesota Timberwolves with the whopping odds 3000/1, meaning the bookmaker will pay out 3,000 on every 1 bet. The Memphis Grizzlies and the New York Knicks are the other underdogs with odds on winning the NBA Finals currently sitting at 500/1. Odds to win the 2007/2008 NBA Eastern Conference

The betting odds on the probable winner of the 2007/2008 NBA Eastern Conference, Boston Celtics still the favorite.

The Boston Celtics won 92-85 against the Pistons at Detroit on January 5th and this victory prompted the odds makers to rethink the betting lines on the NBA Eastern Conference Championship. Now the Boston Celtics have become the clear favorite to win the Eastern Conference, listed with odds 1/2 to win at the online bookmaker Bodog Sports. The bookie quickly slashed the odds on the Detroit Pistons to win the NBA Eastern Conference, but they remain the second most likely team with money line at 2/1. It's became obvious that the odds makers think the Eastern Conference will be decided between the Atlantic and Central, as the odds on the other Eastern Conference NBA teams start in the double digits.

Following the Celtics and Pistons come Orlando Magic with odds on winning the 2007/2008 NBA Eastern Conference at 10/1, and the same odds are held by the Cleveland Cavaliers, who are trailing 9 games behind the Pistons in the Central. The Atlanta Hawks and Toronto Raptors come as surprise with odds on winning the Eastern Conference at 20/1 on both teams. The Nets and the Wizards are currently ahead of the Raptors and Hawks respectively, but the odds on the New Jersey Nets to win the conference title are sitting at 25/1 and the odds on the Washington Wizards are posted at 35/1 at Bodog. The Charlotte Bobcats (.344) are the ultimate underdog to win, with odds 200/1 and the Miami Heat with .235 in the Southeast are listed with odds on winning the Eastern Conference at only 40/1.

The latest odds on winning the 2007/2008 NBA Western Conference, the title remains undecided.

Unlike the Eastern, the odds to win the NBA Western Conference offer much more diversity and uncertainty. At the online sportsbook Bodog Sports, the San Antonio Spurs are listed as the odds favorite to win the Western Conference Championship at 9/5. But the Phoenix Suns are right behind the Spurs with odds 9/4 with current record of 23-10. The Suns are followed by the Dallas Mavericks (23-11), not only in the Southwest, but for the Western Conference, as well. The odds on the Mavericks to win the 2007/2008 NBA Western Conference Championship are now upgraded to 3/1, making them the third most likely team from the conference to get to the NBA Finals. As the fourth Western conference team comes the Los Angeles Lakers with odds of 4/1.

The Denver Nuggets and the Portland Trailblazers are currently tied in the Northwest, but not for the Western Conference. The Nuggets are with odds on winning the conference title of 7/1 and the Trailblazers are listed with odds 10/1. Also with odds of 10/1 are the Houston Rockets and Utah Jazz. When did the Suns move to the Southwest?

Does R.C. know about this? And if so, can we play in the Atlantic division for a bit?

My dark horse, at 12-1, is New Orleans. Paul is the best PG in the NBA right now, West and Chandler are having career years, and if Stojakovic ever finds his stroke, look out!

How much do you want to put on it?

How much do you want to put on it?

Nothing. of course I'm never going to bet against my team! And besides, I know they can't beat us over 7 games, not even close... but if someone else knocks us out, you never know.

If I had to pick a DARK HORSE, NO would be it. They'll go to the 2nd round I reckon, which pretty much no-one predicted before the season. I picked them to come 8th before the season ( http://www.spurstalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=80961 ), but right now I'd revise that to 5th or 6th.
